I know a lot of people would like to see Klopp come in, but for me it's De Boer all day.

Experience: Assistant manager of the Netherlands during the 2010 World Cup. Four years in charge of Ajax, who are still one of the most renowned clubs in European football.

Honours: Currently going for four Eredivisies in a row.

A good fit for Arsenal: Ajax rely on developing youth players more than buying, so works on a relatively small budget.

Arsenal connection: That sublime assist for THAT Bergkamp goal against the Argies at France '98

I would be GUTTED if he when to the S puds.

I'd love De Boer to be Wenger's replacement, surely Dennis could put a word into his ear too and maybe even come back with him as his number two here.

When Wenger does go, I'd like to see Bould stay on the coaching staff somewhere at least, clearly his influence has had a positive effect on our defence, it'd be a shame to see that all become undone.

Sherwood's done well for Spurs, it'd be harsh for them to get rid of him for De Boer after he's done a good job there.

Klopp
De Boer
Martinez

My top 3 choices at the moment.

It would be exciting to have a new manager but I am almost certain they will not be able to eclipse Wenger and you would all realise how extraordinary it was to achieve the things we take for granted e.g top 4 for 17 years in a row etc

If Jan 31st wasn't confirmation that Wenger lost his ambition then last night certainly was, the only way to bounce back from Liverpool was a convincing win Vs a very weak United team

i honestly stopped reading after this.. did u actually watch the game, they might b having a poor season, but played very well last night, compact and looked dangerous on the counter attack.

ohh and no we don't need a new manager..

See where we are at the end of the season.

How some can be happy with top 4 is a joke in itself. Do fans really want to go 10 years without achieving anything?

Oh wow finishing 4th and nothing else, I'd sign up to another decade of that!

No one is happy with just top 4 but to not see its a sign that we are always competitive is just ridiculous

Here we go again, the WOB up in arms once more!

Just a few weeks ago all was wonderful & rosy in Arsenal's garden............................................

So why the mood shift? You are still only a point behind Chelsea, who are looking far from convincing recently. Two points ahead of City who are not always that good away from home. Last night's postponement also helps you because it is another game to be slotted into City's very busy schedule.

In all honesty as well as they have done, I am not sure Liverpool will win the PL, although they do have the luxury of no European competitions to hinder them.

I also think that 4th place is between 5 teams now, with Everton being 5 points off the pace.
Whether we are good enough to catch Liverpool or one of the others remains to be seen. However I do think there are a few more twists and turns to go over the next two months!

Back to my original point, have some faith in your manager and wait until the end of the season before planning his exit

I don't know if you realised it, but Bergkamp is actually a Spurs fan & recommended Eriksen to sign for us.

Conversely, Sherwood is an Arsenal fan!

Don't think getting rid of Wenger is the answer, certainly not this summer anyway.

What he needs is a David Dein figure in his ear, someone who simply wouldn't of allowed January to go by without signing a Walcott replacement.

GG, that might well be the most pointless post I've ever seen - no offence.

I'm sorry but your a spurs fan - you know hardly anything, you just see things from the outside. Of course you'd want wenger In as that suits you.

If we knocked out by pool and inevitable by Bayern in the cl and end up competing for 4th then the board will seriously need to look at wengers position or he will need to do the honorable thing and call it a day.

However, if we do show real signs of improvement by the end of the season and fight for the title, push for the FA until the end then wenger should be backed providing he spends in the summer

Wow! What a patronising & if I may say ignorant comment. I happen to rate Wenger & would have him at WHL in a heartbeat.

It shows your total bigotry to say that as a Spurs fan I know hardly anything!

I am a football fan & most Arsenal fans on here know that I am always fair and have often praised your football. So am I wrong in believing your team has played some of the best football ever seen in the PL? I obviously am if you are to be believed.

How does it suit me to have Wenger stay at Arsenal? I still think you have one of the top 6 managers in the World..........................................

ChrisH...........................Why is it pointless?

If we got Frankie from Ajax can you imagine the chants at the Emirates...

"DE BOER-ING, DE BOER-ING ARSENAL!"

Nah, it's not time for Wenger to go at all. He is still a genius, is on the cusp of having a great team, all he's missing is a star striker. Looking at what's happened to those guys in Manchester, i say keep Wenger til he wants to retire.

Also, you seem to forget he's been competing against billionaire teams with unlimited resources, he's done very well, we will start winning trophies soon, none of them managers mentioned have me thinking that they are better than Wenger.

If you aren't being a troll - then the tired old statements you've made are about 4/5 years outdated. Try harder next time.

Mate your outdated - the football we play now isn't great at all, it's boring tippy tappy with zero threat and it's pointless. I don't want us to become like Liverpool always banging on about history - he is clearly outdated and stubborn and for the good of the club and fans, needs to go.

No ambition to do anything other than finish fourth - for the past five years you've been able to more or less predict what will happen each season.

Grow up Wolf, you sound like a child. How can we be only aiming for 4th if we're 2nd in the league at the moment 2 points of the top. also this tippy tappy football had us sitting at the top of the premier league for most of the campaign, were you saying you wanted Wenger out then, i doubt it.

posted on 13/2/14

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm....................only the other week football pundits were saying Arsenal had been playing the best team football in the PL, were more consistent than their main rivals. So what am I to conclude from that?

They are obviously outdated too & know nothing!
