then the tired old statements you've made are about 4/5 years outdated. Try harder next time.
----------------------------------------
are you saying it's irrellivent that he is competing against billionaire clubs? or that i don't think we will find better manager than Wenger?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes that argument is so Outdated - these 'billionaire clubs' are (for the moment) only one point ahead of us like all you AKBs say, so why didn't we go all out to strengthen the team so that we could have actually competed till the end?? We didn't and now we have started our annual collapse.

We can't find anyone in world football that can go trophy less for a decade and scrape fourth? I think we can....

Have to remember not too many people thought Wenger was an upgrade on Rioch.

Nothing is guaranteed in football. It feels like the only thing we're doing as a club at the moment is playing safe regarding looking after our finances and though that is nothing to sniff at, it hardly sets the pulses racing does it?

Remember back to when the 'Ozil effect' kicked in. That shouldn't be a once in a blue moon event for a club like Arsenal.

At the end of the day I'm still hopeful for this season, but there will come a time when we need to find a new manager. As long as people are respectful towards Arsene, then I've no problem discussing that.

I thought he bottled it again last night. He admitted as much after the game, so I think that's a fair enough comment.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm....................only the other week football pundits were saying Arsenal had been playing the best team football in the PL, were more consistent than their main rivals. So what am I to conclude from that?

They are obviously outdated too & know nothing!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You take everything you know from pundits? who said that then? Garth crooks? Robbie savage? Gimme a break

The billionaire excuse is getting tiresome now.

Fergie won titles with a very average team. Dortmund won't their league and made it to the final of cl.

Yesterday we played against a very poor team who have struggled in pretty much every game.

We created practically nothing from the game and tactics used by wenger have been the same for the last 9 years

The Chelsea away game will be a carbon copy but I expect them to score a couple.

he is clearly outdated and stubborn and for the good of the club and fans, needs to go.

No ambition to do anything other than finish fourth - for the past five years you've been able to more or less predict what will happen each season.
-----------------------------------------------
Grow up Wolf, you sound like a child. How can we be only aiming for 4th if we're 2nd in the league at the moment 2 points of the top. also this tippy tappy football had us sitting at the top of the premier league for most of the campaign, were you saying you wanted Wenger out then, i doubt it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Mate your the one who sounds like a child - saying statements from about 5 years ago - it shows your age and how much you actually follow arsenal (which obviously isn't much) yes we are second now (city have game In hand) but now we have pool and spurs on our backs - don't be so short sighted

Here's the thing - regardless of whether or not Wenger stays on, it was wrong of him and the club to come out and say that a new deal was being discussed. It seems that the dip in the team's form coincides with recent noises about extending his contract.

For brevity, I'm copying and pasting comments I've made on this matter before:

"I think he’s being quite selfless in his refusal to talk about his own future; it’s pushing a potentially distractive issue to one side, but I also think it’s helped the players with their new-found resilience.

I think the players will be looking at it either of two ways: they’ll believe that by playing out of their skin, they can give Wenger a better chance of keeping his job and saving his reputation (or, at least, send him out on a high note); or, they’ll be thinking about life beyond Wenger, and making sure they’ve done enough to leave a good impression on his successor – perhaps both."

------------------------------------------------------
probly because no top club would sell a star striker in Jan, would you not rather wait til a top one is available in the summer?

posted on 13/2/14

The only criticism I would make of AW & the Arsenal board is they should have gone in for Suarez with a minimum £50m bid last year, instead of messing around with a bid of £40m and a penny

posted on 13/2/14

What we shouldn't fog here is that whether it was in January or the pervious summer, Wenger f'cked up by not buying another striker.

When it happened isn't the issue. That it happened at all is. <ok.

Right this is the last time I'll respond to you because your obviously a troll.

We could have got a striker In jan if we needed to.
We should have got one in the summer anyway.
Why throw away this season to get someone we need now in the 'summer' - makes no sense.

And what is my age Wolf? Short sighted, your the one that is saying get rid of our manager and replace him with ???? because we lost and drew a game. was you saying for him to go about a month ago when we were top?

No real ambition. If you want someone you put down the money end of, not haggle over a penny etc. It was all a PR stunt to show "we're competing". 50mill seems a bargain now.

Always the same story though, isn't it? "Wait until summer" - seems to be our mantra these past few years

joker, try doubling that figure, i'm here for the long haul, unlike you, why don't you try supporting your team. I bet you would have been one of those idiots that would have booed after the game yesterday.

What about Wengers understudies Stojkovic and Garde?

Perhaps its time for one of those to step up.
