I always think the aim should be to better the previous season's points tally, so we should at least accomplish that.
If not... McNamara out!
St3vie, we've had players getting linked with moves all season because there has been genuine interest in them.
Feck me I was putting out "Gauld linked with xyz" articles every other day at the beginning of the season.
This article published today is utter pash though. The headline suggests he's going next season. The quotes say he'll probably go at the end of his contract. It's a nothing story that has no purpose. If it had been a genuine link to a club who has been looking at the player then fair enough, but it's not. It's just speculative nonsense designed to unsettle and I have no doubt that it'll continue in the next few weeks. We could do without it.
I think Lennon likes Armstrong the most. The emergance of Biton will prob see that he won't be signing though.
Gauld could be a pottential Commons replacement in a couple of seasons time. I'd like to see Celtic buy him and loan him back to Utd for a season.
Souttar doesn't impress me, I know he's a young lad though.
Ciftci, haven't seen alot of but looked good on Sunday.
Robertson seems like a cracking prospect but i'm happy with Izaguirre.
I really hope this summer sees an end to the stupid transfers by us, £3m on the likes of Pukki etc. and wasting money on unkonws like Boerrigter.
Closer to home, we got Griffiths for well below a million and he's obviously going to score alot of goals for us.
If we are spending upwards of £3m on one player then it has to be proven quality.

He plays like a really bad Lee Wilkie impersonation.
Doesn't matter who it is, any player who is performing decently at a Scottish club is automatically linked with Rangers and Celtic. Whether or not thats the case, we both seem to always be interested in the best of the rest, a mentality it would be nice to move away from in truth, but quite clearly won't happen.
As for Gunning, he's the only one we'd be linked with, and I'm sure he's already came out and said he wouldn't join us. As for the rest of them, if they wanted to progress their careers, then playing under our current management is hardly going to do that for them. Plus the fact is we couldn't afford them unless out of contract.

Rangers and Celtic all over the back pages, nothing stories, fck all substance to them, all rumour purely written to sell papers with.
Fans of a club like United..."aye old firm this, old firm that, papers is always old firm old firm old firm, its pi$h"
The Record/Sun run stories speculating about good players at Dundee United possibly moving on in the summer
"Aye, trying to unsettle our players before a game agaisnt the old firm, typical of the "west coast" media."
So they whinge when they dont get the yardage in the papers, but its an issue when they do coz it unsettles players.
Cannie fcking win man!!
So a guy who writes articles linking EVERY DUFC player that plays a semi decent game with EVERY team under the sun is UNHAPPY that someone else is writing similar articles JEEZUS WEPT
Ally, I only write articles linking players to teams when there is genuine evidence of it.
I don't just write pash.
BN, I've not seen Gunning rule out signing for Rangers? Might have missed it though.
Wouldn't read any o these rags anyway, personally I couldn't give a flying #$#$ what these papers say.
For me, this article is proper wee team mentality stuff
"BN, I've not seen Gunning rule out signing for Rangers? Might have missed it though."
Infact it was something about him being unsure about committing due to the financial crap. Can't say that I blame him.
This is what he said:
"“I wouldn’t have any fear about joining Rangers but it’s not definite that I’ll be leaving Dundee United either,” he asserted.
“I’ve a young family now and need some stability in whatever decision I make. I’m in regular contact with Jon Daly and he can’t speak highly enough of Rangers.
“But I’d want to avoid a situation whereby pay cuts are enforced and the club becomes at risk. That would be a nightmare for any player.”"
Which is fair enough.
St3vie, you really didn't need to reiterate that. We got it loud and clear in your other posts.
Well seeing as you dint really respond Ivan I thot I would
It wasn't really worth responding to.
