For your theory to work Lil Timmy needs to go summer camp and get his badges!

Tim lost my confidence when he played Walker as an attacking mid. Love the passion, but he's basically Stefan Freund without the smile.

Loavirgo, why not mate he is learning on the job, why let him do this and then get someone else in the summer?

This is where he is learning, trying out different players and formations, this is part of the learning curve.

Are you telling me that when he came in you just expect him to have the perfect line up and formation for each game, it doesnt work like that and even experienced managers get it wrong.

Look at Rodgers for liverpool, he is flying now but it was not all rosy at the start.

For this to work, for this to be Timmy's blueprint, there would be a clear out and an influx of premiership hardened players....a la harry.

but did you not see signs of togetherness and a team unit yesterday?

Sorry but I don't see Timothy as a solution. He doesn't as yet have a clue what his best team is and/or what the players' best positions are. There doesn't appear to be any coherent plan. The formation gets tinkered with every other game.

We are at a period where a manager with experience is most pivotal in order to get this bunch of new players settled and playing a system they're comfortable with.

haha fair enough!

I thought we played really well, even townsend was passing the ball.

Im optimistic about our future as we have alot of young players with much potential, i just think changing managers may ruin some players we have as they will want to bring in their own.

Spurtle I do agree with you anout not knowing his best team and what the best positions are.

I would like to think that come the summer he will have a clearer view of this.

A new manager coming in will also have this problem.

Only at Spurs does a Champions league hopeful team employ a manager who learns on the job. If this was the case then Tim should shave been installed when we were finishing 8/9th like Liverpool.

Sadly I think we might be back to those days so Timmy might just be the best fit.

I'm not convinced by Sherwood. Obviously learning the trade but makes some absurd decisions at times.

I was hoping he'd have a better idea with 19 games in charge but no such luck

If sherwood isnt for the future then we should of got in someone like hoddle to steady the ship.

I just dont see the point of getting sherwood in who lets be honest hasnt done a bad job and then in the summer apoint someone from outside spurs who will need more time to get to the know the squad etc.

Apart from Liverpool and Benfica we have many winnable games left. If Sherwood can manage a good points total by the end of the season with convincing performances then he'll go up in the estimations of Spurs fans.

Something tells me we'll get a few draws or worse from a few of the bottom teams though, and that should confirm he isn't right to stay on.

The Ace I agree this season has been a shambles but I honestly dont think we need to change much in terms of squad.

Yes im sure a few players will be out like BAE etc but we still have alot of quality. As well as sherwood the young players are still learning and another season under their belts can only improve them.

Im just not all for this big change each year, how many times are we going to keep doing that?

posted on 17/3/14

Spurtle very good point I suppose even though our season is over maybe it is not for sherwood, if he has a good run will levy decide to keep with him or do you think he has someone already?

Sherwood just seems like a redknapp apprentice in terms of his style, so purely on that basis I want a new manager in the summer.

posted on 17/3/14

Should Sherwood stay beyond the end of this season?

Anyone who thinks it's wise to chose Kane ahead of Soldado for a key European game just does not cut it for me. That's just one example of many that I could give.

Yeah I agree with you Gezza that was a strange one but tell me a manager that doesnt make strange decisions from time to time with selection.

Get rid - if I'm honest I've disliked him from the off, and nothing he has done has really changed my mind since

Firstly 1 for even considering this.

Secondly, I will not watch spurs next season (and for any required length of time after that), if this arrogant fool is still in charge.

Thirdly, any spurs fan even considering this, even having the remotest thought of considering this, IS PLAIN DAFT!!!

Fourthly, my preference would be that Tim has absolutely nothing to do with the club after this stint... Even the sight of the man makes my blood boil

Ginger what has he done that has been so bad? Who would you prefer to be in charge?
