£40,000,001 bid looked stupid at the time but apparently there are quotes from John W Henry saying that he did actually have a clause and still told us to fack off. The mistake was letting Higuain slip, Liverpool were just not going to sell Suarez and rightfully so.
his a tremendous player, lethal. not as good to watch on the eye as Henry but as a clinical striker he's amazing. i think he will beat many records!
he's had a great season just think where u lot would be had you signed a decent attacker.
Walcott has also been a big loss for you lot as well as he provides you with pace.

Said when he was on a roll around January that he was operating at a level only Henry and C. Ronaldo have come close to in any season in the Premier League. He's been incredible this season. On a per game basis, Suarez has probably been every bit as good as Ronaldo has for Madrid.

Can't really compare records from 10 years ago to now. Players all over Europe have staggering goal scoring ratios now. So many world class strikers are hitting at least 0.8 goals a game every season which was remarkable a decade ago.
Suarez though in my opinion over taken every striker in last few years that have played in PL such as Drogba, Torres, RVP etc. still a long way to go to reach Henry and not far off Ronaldo in his pl era.

He's not as good a player as Messi, but he's certainly having as big an influence on his club as Messi ever has. And he's certainly having a better seaso than Messi....
If he wins Uruguay the world cup he could win the Ballon D'Or.
Or if he joins UEFAlona he could win it.

Against the current top four, Liverpool have won one game and lost three games and you say that he has a massive influence on these games.
If Liverpool do win the league would Suarez have matched Maradona's achievements at Napoli?
I still think Henry was a class above Suarez, though that gap is getting smaller as we pass time.
