When Did Wenger Blow It For You

I think the 10/11 bottle job was a turning point, it didn't make people Wenger out alone but it's always been in the back of people's minds.

Seliing Fabregas and Nasri in the same window and not finding adequate replacements.

When he sold Cesc, basically admitting he had no intention of building a team around him and will continue in the same vain. ( buying eco-players)

Gave up then, Did get back on the Wenger Bus ahead of the Carling Cup FInal, but after that reaslised that it was over for me with Wenger.

...Then gave him one final chance last summer, accepting the money restrictions excuse. Once again let down, so now I will not be swayed again.

Selling Cesc put doubts in my mind. Selling RVP hurt me a lot but not enough for me to want Wenger to go.

I think the gutless display at OT that season was the turning point. We only lost 2-1 but played the match as if it was RVP's testimonial. No pride, no belief and no bottle in the big games.

Nothing has really changed since then to make me change my mind.

Arsenal Blackburn 0-0 2011, the day I realised Arsenal would never win the league again under Wenger.

Wanted him out after the Birmingham defeat then he let Cesc and Nasri go which annoyed me. Then we got top 3 following season was happy then had an average season last season so was in between now it depends on FA cup and top 4 to see if I want him out or no.

When he made Henry captain in 2005 and when he thought Almunia was better than Lehman!

The season we went to the CL final and the season we would have won the league if not for Eduardo's injuries?

FA cup win against Man U which we won on penalties. I knew then that we were lucky and the team was in decline.

That 4-4 against Newcastle was when I realised we probably wouldn't win the league under him again. I know the ref screwed us, but it was that kind of shiiiite, over and over again.

And the FA Cup tie when Fergie played 7 defenders, and still beat us comfortably. That was a truly awful season, my doubts surfaced then.

And this summer, when he refused to buy until the last day.

I've had my doubts about his abilities for a few seasons .But attributed them to the fact that he was hamstrung by the move from Highbury , but his failure to land a top notch striker ,when we were in the driving seat in January was the last straw ,sheer incompetence , good bye Mr Wenger ,

I'm not really a true WOB as I still think Wengers decline has a lot to do with the mismanagement at the club. He seems to answer to no one and that isn't right.

There are a few but I think the real nail in the coffin was this January transfer window, he refused to get adequate backups for the team and the same old story repeats itself

The 8-2 and selling rvp was probably one of the worst moments

Ever since the 8-2 we have taken regular beating from the likes of united, City and Chelsea, some of these beatings massacres.

If we continue with Wenger we are guaranteed to lose to those 3 again next season, mourinho especially.

It's just his inability to beat the better teams and at his age, things are not dramatically going to change.

His transfer dealings are also very frustrating

Reality is that Wenger will be here next season.

I just don't know what else he can offer anymore

I would say the day Spurs came back from was it 4-0 down. The fact is that top managers hardly ever see defeat's of even 3-0, Wenger may have the team playing the best football ever conceived but he cannot prepare his players mentally to achieve anymore and it has been a while since he has really excelled in the transfer market Cazorla or Ox was probably the last good transfer he made but in both cases spent a fair amount.

Spurs actually came back from 4-2.

posted on 18/4/14

But your right, mentally he can no longer motivate his teams when the going gets tough

I wanted Wenger out after the 2010/11 season. Now I know that there is a division when it comes to Arsenal fans, there is the AKBs of course and the WOBs. Quite frankly the WOBs are the realists. For me when it comes to Wenger for Arsenal fans, you’re either for Wenger or Against Wenger. No in-between. That’s how I see it but if you see it differently, no problem, it’s your opinion after all.

posted on 18/4/14

The last of the inbetweeners have now made their minds up this campaign regardless of how it ends I think

I've been unsure and wanted change for a while but then this season I was open to letting him utilise our new financial strength as it was only fair but his productivity of it has left me with no choice but to look forward to a fresh start

I didn't realise it at the time but surely when he thought introducing a socialist wage structure was a good idea the alarms should have gone off big time.

TRUTH

But how does a Chelsea fan remember that???

That was the time I realised we had a problem.

Should not be giving away 2 goal leads like that, at home.

Then seasons after we let a four goal lead go.
