I think Cleverely would do alright under Martinez, to be fair.

He's a decent player is Cleverley when it comes to playing 1-2's and quick pass and move football - remember the start of 2011/12 season? Sadly we've become more rigid and regimented since then. I think he'd be fine at Everton. Could still do a good job for us if his confidence isn't totally shot.

We played some of our best football with Clevs last season. People shouldn't judge him on this disaster of a season

we're buying barkley for 50m then loaning him back to everton.

He's done a very good job at Roma, Arab. Won the title with Lille as well.

But I don't know a great deal about him beyond that, so whether or not he'd be good for United I cannot really say.

Weird seeing someone with a name like Rudi Garcia and they ain't even Spanish

posted on 22/4/14

you should have appointed someone of that ilk from the start. utd is a big ship that was veering slightly out of control under fergie and needed someone strong to get it under control again. moyes was never the man for that. he let it get even more out of control

But there's a downside to that, he's won one Eredevsie (spelling, one Bundesliga and a German cup since 2000 I think. Most of his success were in the 90s

It's an impressive trophy haul.

Arab, his dad is Spanish I believe.

Apart from eventually rubbing a lot of people up the wrong way and his many battles with the media, there is certainly a lot to like about van Gaal.

His teams are winners and stylish winners at that.

He focuses on controlling possession, moving the ball at speed and relentless pressing.

Doesn't have a bad record of developing and promoting youth either.

Experience of managing some huge clubs, building winning teams and making bold decisions which will upset big names.

It'll be a fresh approach which is something we really do need I think.

Garcia is a class manager. I would have thought Spurs would look at him: he ticks all the boxes. He plays great football but is not reckless in attack-Roma have one of the best defences in Europe. He develops players Cabaye, Hazard and now Florenzi etc and he has taken a club like Lille to a title and now has Roma's best total at this stage of a season ever.

When he joined Roma De Rossi had to Google who he was and ended up with a YouTube video of him playing guitar.

Brilliant! I doubt Garcia would leave Roma for Spurs, why would he?

They've just qualified for the CL and will look to build on that and give Juve a better challenge for the title. Roma are very much a team on the up with him in charge and with them moving to a new stadium soon the future is looking pretty bright.

Spurs on the other hand don't really have that to offer. And with Liverpool resurgent, City and Chelsea miles better than them, Arsenal with money and United rebuilding with a new manager they won't be competing at the top in the near future - and as a result their best shot at CL football will be winning the Europa.

Stylish winners, that's what I think we all want from United, TRS.
