mate. bale and modric were pivotal and playing every week in the sides that totally bottled it and collapsed year on year under redknapp. don't kid yourself.
it wasn't them alone, but they were the best players, and they didnt drag us through it when out form was awful and confidence was low.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
But bale dragged us thru his last season.....can't have it both ways chron....ur often on here banging on about how we fold.....that lack of mental toughness is at the door of the players mainly.
And not many have that mental toughness at spurs....and I'd argue none at all of the current mob.
"and i don't want him. i think he's a good player but is massively overrated and for the price he would cost you could get as good a player for half the price
on the continent if you scout properly"
The word "overrated" is one of the most stupidly overused words among fans in the football lexicon - applied to everyone from Messi to Titus Bramble. How the fack is Lallana overrated and who is overrating him?
but you do suck off Redknapp don't you RC. its embarrassing.
Levy could turn is into CL winners 10 years in a row, build a 200k seater stadium, and sell season tickets for 50p, and on his way home saves a baby from a burning building, and you would still think he's a caaant because he sacked redknapp
"wtf has that got to do with anything you helmet."
___
Lallana is offered 40k by a week by Spurs.
Lallana is offered 80k a week by Liverpool.
Which club do you think he going to opt for?
He'd improve our squad no question. Brilliant player. But....
1) he'll go for way over 15m (what Chris h said)
2) we already have too many midfielders
3) bigger clubs will be in for him I expect
All this changes if poch becomes our manager tho!
How the fack is Lallana overrated and who is overrating him?
---
everyone because he is just not that good.
i have heard people banging on about him being as good as Hazard
ridiculous.
he is a good player, and a much improved player, which is part of the reason everyone has noticed him so much.
lets see if he can maintain his good form for another 3 years.

If you have any reality based comments then they would be worthy of consideration.
I haven't called Levy anything actually.

Lallana will be mad money. Shaw too. i reckon if you wanted to buy the pair you would have to shell out 50 mill at the minimum, which is absolutely ridiculous.

Completely agree

we don't want him.
if he has any sense he will stay where he is for another year or so under a manager who is clearly getting the best of him, and then move on.
"if spurs offered 50k and liverpool 40k and CL then he would choose them too. "
We do not know that at all.
A lot of players are purely motivated by money.
first good season in the pl and near 26
southamptons the club for him
so if we don't know that then why are you bringing up money at all, its all speculation but you wrote it as a matter of fact….
He's an Everton fan isn't he? So I doubt he would choose Liverpool.
hed be on the bench for us
It is a matter of fact he would choose a club higher in the league who offered double the wages
What is your problem this evening, you sound really dumb...

this.
sometimes players should just stay where they thrive.
thats why i am baffled by spurs fans wanting Michu
if michu came to spurs i am about 80% sure he would flop. he probably wouldn't even stay fit ffs
madness.

Yeah, and you're the only voice of reason, eh? Lallana has been a shoo-in for Team of the Year. It's not cos he's overhyped. It's because he's stepped up at this level and had a fanstastic, consistent season. He deserves all the accolades. And I haven't seen anyone claim he's as good as Hazard.
