Tim

What a great job he's done, especially seeing as he's got no experience and badges he's taken us to 6th in the league with a Europa League campaign next season

Sorted out the mess that AVB left behind

This should be open to other teams' fans. They'll probably be more sincere in their thanks.

I do not understand how anyone can judge a manager on a few results. Yes he has a good win percentage but as others have pointed out his loss percentage is pretty high as well.

After all, if we get a new man in and he wins the first game of the season, against, say, Brighton, are we going to laud him as the messiah (the real one, not the guy on here) because he has a 100% win record and use that as justification for getting rid of all the others.

No, our Sherwood won the matches he should have won, lost some that we should have won and lost a lot that would have shown his tactical and coaching credentials had we won.

He has also alienated a number of players at the club by his concern for his own legacy and I think you can see that in his insistence on trying to promote academy players over expensive purchases.

This would be ok if he introduced them as subs to let them generate the experience in big games when we are in a winning situation, but he didn't. He wanted to use them as starters over established internationals recently bought, as if he was trying to show how clever he was in his work with the academy.

But of course, this would not have suited Levy, seeing his manger lower the valuation of so many players he recently purchased and I think this may have been behind the decision to stop playing Bentelab after so many consecutive starts.

To be a good manager you first of all have to have the interests of the club to hand first, then the players and then the fans and if you satisfy of all of those you are entiltled to take your own praise from a job well done. Sherwood, in my opinion, put his own value above all of these.

I think it’s important to note, that of the 10 Premiership managers that were replaced this season, Tim improved his club’s league position. Bar Pulis and possibly Poyet(??), all failed to make any progress in league ranking, with 3 clubs being relegated . Whilst we haven’t hit the club’s target from the start of the season, I think we should be grateful that the ship wasn’t just steadied, but we also progressed (to a degree). And for that I applaud Tim .

What a load of shiite. Progressed how

Admit you stuck your neck out for this egotistical freak and were proven wrong. Or tell me about this "fantastic football" we now play...

==================

Why have you used the 4th December, when Tim's first Prem game was on 21st December (3 games later)?

We were 8th when Tim took over, we should finish 6th.

Improved? Of course it is .

And 3 being relegated? how is comparing his term as manager of Tottenham comparable to relegation threatened clubs? You're lauding him for not getting relegated now?

When a club goes from 8th to 6th, it is called progress.

===============

I just did a comparison of all clubs who changed managers, and 3 who changed went down. And 4 others finished lower in the league to when they were appointed.

Tim took us on when we were in 8th - we will finish at least 7th, possibly 6th.

That is progress however you want to look at it....
