Our head of customer care does that too!!

Or I leave my inbox deliberately close to full just before I leave the office so I don't even have to delete them

Daft thing with my work emails is most of them are notifications of tasks to do on our CRM software and that sends notifications too. So I have to delete the email, then go into salesforce and delete the notifications off that.
I have email OCD so they must all be read and no more than 100 in my inbox otherwise I freak out and try and punch the laptop!!

I just checked. I have 1047 emails in my inbox. Most of which I have no intention of ever doing anything with. If it was that urgent I'd know it by now!

Same as Biglaa I have loads of unread mails. My boss always comments on it. I just know that some people especially HR send hundreds of emails that have no relevance to me at all.

I'm out on the road most days and our main office and factory is in Bristol.
I get emails telling me what the specials are in the canteen. Really useful when I'm parked up in a car park eating a stale cheese butty.
