Inter want Lucas on loan. What is it with stingy Italian clubs?
Has there been any transfer window since Lucas signed for us 10 years ago where he wasn't linked with a move to Italy/Turkey?
Watching Melbourne City v Perth Glory as I've a bet on. Great game, end to end but the defenders look like they're letting the attackers bloody shoot. Tim Cahill with a free header for the first. All the Glory defenders standing there giving the Melbourne captain all the time in the world to curl in a goal. Then worst of bloody all, Melbourne get a penalty(Glory defender should have been off for a second booking) the keeper saves the penalty and for some unknown reason the Melbourne defence parts like the Red Sea allowing the Glory attacking to run straight through, finally ending up at the feet of the goalscorer of their first, he bloody takes an age to get it out of his feet and shoot but the Melbourne defender has a gentle jog out to him anyhow, resulting in a goal against, from their bloody penalty!
Also they interview the players as the walk off the pitch at half time. They asked the winger fouled for the penalty if he thought the defender should have been off for a second yellow and he said he can't remember. It only happened ten minutes before

Seems Lucas actually is leaving this time.
Leaves us a bit short at the back if we were to pick up an injury or two.
Feeling rough this morning. Stayed up way too late drinking big beers and watching a documentary about a guy who listened to Judas Priedt and decided to blow his head off with a shotgun. He missed. Shot his whole face off though
That must be really messy when he has a cold.

I thought but read Pearce on the matter and he says Klopp will sanction the move because he thinks Gomez is ready to play a big part in the 2nd half of the season and would have jumped ahead of Lucas in the defensive order, leaving him a long way from the first 11 really.
Worst comes to the worst Can can play there but I've been quietly impressed with Klavan who is a good back up I feel.
If it's a loan to Inter maybe that greases the wheels for a player to come the other way.

Will be interesting to see if Kopp uses Gomez at centre back. It's quite rare for a centre back his age to play in his favoured position at this level. They seem to come in for a lot of criticism when the inevitable mistake happens which is more likely to lead to a goal due to the position.
I think he'll be a great option against teams we'recommend expected to dominate the ball.

Sturridge bagged Liverpool's 100th top-flight league goal in 48 games since Klopp took over. No Reds boss has ever reached that milestone in fewer matches.
Liverpool's current tally of 86 league goals in 2016 is the club's highest in a calendar year since 1985 and there's still time to add to that. We scored 87 in 1985.

Watching the game back this morning and Migs should do better for the goal.
Unfair to single out Mignolet for that goal. Klavan's clearance wasn't great, Mane and Clyne could have done better to deal with the dropping ball and subsequent cross and Lovren might as well have not been on the field he was so far off Walters.
Lovers allowed Walters across him and Mane switched off to and whilst he should have done better for the goal he made a great save from Allen after it.
