Our goalkeeper situation is a strange one.

We have Migs as our premiership keeper and Karius as our CL keeper. Does that mean Ward is the cup keeper.

I don;t like this style as I think we need to cement our keeper and defence so they understand each other.

I also think we should of let Ward stay on loan for one more season at Huddersfield to gain PL experience

A lot of clubs have been doing this in recent years.

It's not uncommon and I'm not sure there is really any evidence that it's a bad thing.

It's one of those things that people don't like the idea of it as it's new and weird, but I'm not sure statistically there is any evidence that it damages teams who do it.

Yes but a lot of clubs have a settled back four and keeper. Ours have no confidence or rapport at all.

Just spend big on a really good keeper, there's bound to some really good one with a buy out clause of £20m cause they signed if a few years but it would be a small fee now.

You don't see Utd or Chelsea's back four and keeper getting constantly lambasted in the press or by pundits. We do. Our fans do it more so why is that balls??

Really?

You think the team will be filled with confidence if Sevilla get a free kick just outside the area (or a corner) with Karius flapping at the ball while Lovren is standing there like a statue 5 yards from any opposition player?

Who's the 1 defeat to?

Chelsea don't play a back 4 for a start.

Utd changed theirs constantly last season and I'm sure they will again once the cups have started.

I don't really care what pundits and fans say avout defences.

Ours isn't anywhere near as bad as is made out, thats borne out by eyes and stats.

We have issues on certain things, but I don't think a lack of rapport is anything to do with it. Confidence maybe, but I don't think playing the same players every game would suddenly solve that problem.

Utd.

Spawned a 0-1 at Anfield a couple of months after Klopp took over.

Utd and Chelsea both have settled keepers that are world class and they have top defenders sat in front of them. We don't

There's a lot of cases of second keepers being used for cup matches definitely.

Keepers should always have certainty as to who is first choice and second choice though when it comes to the most important fixtures, the league and champions league, and I can't think of many ( any actually) where that isn't the case.

Dropping Mignolet for the Arsenal game was simply bizarre, fortunately it didn't cost us as they were terrible but Karius still somehow managed to nearly gift wrap them a couple. A decision I'll never understand personally.

Let's just hope it was a one off and Migs confidence is
still there for when he returns tomorrow.

It's all mind games.

Coutinho starts tomorrow.

That's a boost for us but it might mean they go 4 at the back like they did against Bournemouth whereas a back 3 might suit our style of play better...

Pep doesn't know what a back four is anymore.

If one of the back four is John Stones, it's effectively a. back three anyway.
