It's part of the reason I get so frustrated with Henderson's constant selection. Klopp knows better than us clearly (hence he's paid a significant sum of money to make the decisions whilst we sit on a forum) but picking Henderson continually in the defensive mid position is one of the reasons that Can refused to sign a new contract.

Now we have lots one of our most promising players on a free.

You really believe that's the reason he won't sign the contract? Fake news. Can has never had any intention of signing a new contract with LFC as far as I can see. The fact that the so called reason for not signing it has changed so many times is a pretty clear indicator for me. More money/playing DM/release clause etc. You really think Klopp would be that stubborn? He's not yet once signed a new contract with any of his former clubs in his career so far. (Ok he's still fairly young, but I bet he'll never renew a contract wherever he goes.)
I bet you whatever you like, if we played him DM for the last year and for the rest of his contract, he still won't sign a new one.

Man has commitment issues.

Take Joel Matip as an example.

Moved on a free every time.

Matip was at Schalke since he was 18 or something.

I'm sure he had a contract renewal at some point.

In an ideal world our line up would look something like the below:

New GK
Clyne Matip VVD Moreno
Coutinho Krychowiak Keita
Mane Firmino Salah

Krychowiak is another example of a player we could be after if he does well at West Brom. I can imagine he will leave PSG at the end of the year.

I did say if he does well at WBA. I haven't seen him at WBA but saw him at Sevilla where he was excellent.
