I wasn't even born in the 80's and am too young to remember Barnes, Beardsley etc.

My hero was Owen growing up. Loved the bloke and I actually remember crying when he left for Madrid. Some forget just how good he was on his day. Injuries, poor punditry and his move to United has put a huge downer on his career in my eyes.

Curtains seem to be very much back in fashion.

87 was an amazing team as well.

Barnes to Beardsley, back to Barnes - Aldridge GOAL

One of Souness worst mistakes was getting rid of Beardsley.

Still feel robbed over the FA Cup final in `88 with Beardsley's goal

I think the 84 season was the first i was generally aware of what was going on. i don;t recall seeing much football other than the euro final and fa cup finals. I remember seeing these weird teams playing in the league cup final and didn't really understand it (Oxford and norwich, I'm looking at you!).

I think the first season i was actually aware of the league campaign was 85/86. That season was really the season that planted the real seed. Sure, football had always been great to watch and play and I always had an LFC shirt on me, but seeing Liverpool that year and also Northern Ireland getting to the 86 world cup, and everything that ensued in that tournament was a game changer.

Mexico 86 just seemed to be the greatest spectacle I had ever come across.
