He’s got the fortnight off now so it depends how bad it is.

Yeah...hope Klopp uses this break to sort the midfield out. Can't expect our forwards to create and score all the goals.

Its just a bedding in thing, was reading an interview with robertson and he was saying the first 6 months of his liverpool career were hell. At the time he played the odd game and couldnt understand why he kept getting dropped and he hated not getting to play many games.

Then his breakthrough came (city and everton?) were he played two really good games back to back. Klopp told him afterwards to watch his earlier games back, and robertson could see in the earlier games he wasnt working the way klopp wanted him to (positioning, pressing, passes) and could understand why he needed the time to adjust.

I think it gives quite a bit of insight to the fab/keita situation. They wont be playing till they can perform correctly in his squad. And on the balance of things its right to do it that way, rather than upset the team balance as they settle

People seem to have forgotten that Moreno actually got injured and that's when Robertson actually managed to secure his place in the team.

Not playing Robertson down, he's obviously a better defender but had Moreno not got injured, who knows how it would've turned out.

Perhaps Milner's injury is what Fabinho needs to get a chance.

Good point, sort of goes against the recent narrative of purposely giving the players time to settle. Ox was pretty straight in as well I think, Van Dijk defo was.

Ox wasn't straight in either but yeah that's the point basically. Thing is once football fans settle on a narrative and its widely accepted, it literally lasts for generations.

I think you're going to end up a bit dissapointed with Fabinho. He's a good player but he's not going to revolutionise our midfield or anything. Just seen you calling put for him a lot (again not trying to be a pr!ck about it).

Our goals conceded finally puts this 'proper DM' stuff to bed thankfully too. Never something I subscribed to, in fact I never understood what people meant by 'proper DM' tbh.

True. That said, the vicious campaign against Achterberg must stop

We were trying pretty hard to get Jorginho from what I remember which I guess indicates we weren't after a 'proper DM', I've not seen enough of him for Napoli or Chelsea really but his distribution makes me think he's more like Xabi Alonso than Mascherano.

If the front 3 arent firing on the next few games then they will need shaking up

Pretty sure we'll smash Hudderfield and Cardiff tbh.

Yeah...nice set of fixtures coming up to build the confidence.

Some momentum would be nice, pretty sure everyone would have happily taken our current points haul after those first games.
