Thought Wijnaldum was excellent against city. Alisson assured again.
20 points from our first 8 games with the fixtures we’ve had is an excellent return
Think Wijnaldum has had much better games. Seemed tired against City. Got muscled off the ball a lot when trying to shield it when a simple pass was on.
He's went up a level or two this season however.
This international break has come at the right time for us. Hopefully some players will pull out of international matches.
Some players definitely need a rest, and wont be getting it with the break.. Klopps 2 in 3 rotation has gone out the window and i cant help but feel it will cost us later in the season.

Thought he was the best player on the pitch in the first half, for both sides. Tired in the second half though.
Missed the game
Drove with a friend about 200km one way to go see a car, only for this cake to not like the car
Decent road trip though.
You know I might be a proper on this site but I even I know where to draw the line sometimes but Manc Python, first comment on an article about Salah, early on a Monday morning
United fans are not the brightest. They seem to think the Mahrez penalty actually went in and we lost which is why we dropped to 3rd place.

Where’d you drive? Cape Town to Knynsa?
Nah...from Pretoria to somewhere in the Free State. I live in Pretoria.
Tough set of fixtures out of the way and tbh...it's only the Napoli game that left a proper sour taste in my mouth.

I was frustrated more with the team selection yesterday, we all know the front three aren't playing well and not playing as a unit either yet we persist with them game in game out.
I know it's a risk to change it for such a big game but is it more of a risk than to play out of form players?
I wonder how the media rated our Captains performance yesterday.
This Is Anfield
Jordan Henderson – 8 (Man of the Match)
Preferred to Naby Keita in the middle of the park, the skipper was constantly in the hub of action, looking more energetic than many of those around him.
The Anfield Wrap
Henderson: 8
Played well, there. Ticked it over, kept the ball, despite a ridiculous level of bellendery screaming at him to get it forward. They weren’t playing a team of scruffs, you know. They were defensively brilliant, their shape was boss, they done to us what we do to them.
The Independent
Jordan Henderson: 7 out of 10
The Guardian
Jordan Henderson Won and used the ball effectively to provide much-needed energy and creativity. Required more in a defensive role. 7
The Echo
Jordan Henderson 7
Looked to move the ball forward quickly, which he managed to some success. Was increasingly busy defensively, though. Sought to add some impetus to Liverpool 's play after the break.
They obviously didn't watch the same match the guys in the live thread saw.

We have quite a lot of players out of form. From full backs to midfield and attack. Klopp was right to go with plan A. Now with 3 easy fixtures coming up it’s time to look at Shaq, Studge, Clyne etc.
I’m just hoping a rest will do some good for some players and we need some players to drop out but we are not that political.
We actually put in a good enough performance yesterday, Henderson was his usually frustrating self, keeps the ball well but only when passing backwards or sideways, we need more coming from the midfield when playing alongside Milner and Wijnaldum. If he wants to pretend to be Gerrard then he needs to be a little more ballsy with the ball.
He shouts a lot, and clearly shows some leadership but he's still the weakest player in the midfield.
A good game against City (and even then an OK game not a great performance) doesn't negate the poor performances he's put in all season long.

That was not serious manfrom ffs
The most frustrating thing about Henderson for me is he clearly has it in him to be a good player, with good forward passing ability he just never seems to have the conviction to use it when he plays. His forward passing always seems quite wayward, almost as if he doesn't actually believe in himself when he hits those sorts of passes.

He plays forward passes when he's facing forward. However give him the ball with his back to the play then it's going sideways or directly back to the person who passed to him.
Henderson at times just needs to shoot FFS. Always passes the buck when in final 3rd. Other than that he did play well yesterday.
