Spurs have smashed this transfer window...let's admit it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

They have. They have a very good group of players especially in the middle and final third. RB is the obvious issue but if they play with 3 CB's they may be able to hide that slightly.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Haven’t seen Ndombele or Lo Celso anywhere near enough to say if they’re good or not.

And i don’t like Sessegnon, so for me it’s a total unknown.

Would love to hear about the first 2 from people who watched loads of Betis and Lyon games last season.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not hard to google opinions of those that have read him.

More educated opinions than punters on a football forum I dare say.

So people are basing their opinions on a player they haven’t seen, on opinions of other people who have seen them?

Cool, then why the drama over using Brewster given Klopp has raved about him for years and sees him in training/games regularly?

Are you comparing a kid without a professional appearance to players who were outstanding in their respective leagues last season and who are internationals?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We seem to love hugely overrating youngsters as liverpool fans. Dani Pacheco, Adam Morgan, Jordon Ibe, Jerome Sinclair...

Hopefully he's a Sterling rather than one of the above.

Nah I’m saying if we’re taking the opinion of “I’ll listen to what others say about a player to form my own opinion on the player” rather than actually seeing them ourselves, because “they know far more than us”, then what’s wrong with accepting Klopps opinion that what we have is good enough?

I’m just saying i always like to see players myself before judging, if you’ve seen Lo Celso and ndombele enough to form an opinion and rate them then crack on, but i don’t understand how you can form an opinion based on others opinions, but then won’t listen to Klopps opinion?

And i probably just said opinion about 40 times in that post.

IRU, on a sclae of 1 to 10, how would you rate our summer transfer window?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
An 8

Transfers go both ways, we have lost no one of note, thats always been our problem in the past
----------------------------------------------------------------------

----------------------------------------------------------------------
As i said, talk to all our managers who finished second, bet inn hindisght they would rather have had no transfers happen the following summer
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Right, so in a summer when none of our players wanted to leave. None of our players were bid for. None of our players were even subject of speculation about leaving.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That's not true at all though, is it? There were rumours all summer about Salah and Mane going to Barce/RM, Lovren to various Italian teams (best defender in the world don't forget!), PSG supposedly interested in Bobby, Shaq going for 36M, Origi going pretty much anywhere, Fabinho even had a late window rumour that he'd agreed to go to Madrid.

The only similarity to our window this season and Spurs last season is no major signings. Spurs still went into the season with players running their contracts down.

Look at all the other teams windows and they have all lost important first team players.

Man City - lost their captain and long standing first choice CB. Not replaced him, do look to have a good player in The young welsh boy.

Chelsea - Lost their best player.

Spurs - signed 2 players with big reputations but lost their first choice right back and not replaced him. Still haven’t addressed the contract issues with major players.

Arsenal - what looks like a puzzling window, signed a few but the defence could be as pony as it was last season.

Man Utd - gone massive on young British talent and massively over paid for a midrange premier league player. Lost their big money striker and not replaced him.

I'll happily listen to klopps opinion. I listened when he said that we were going to spend money this summer.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So you don’t believe in changing your opinion on something ever then?

Just make your mind up and stick with it no matter what?

Bascombe is saying we considered re-signing Coutinho but decided the money would be better spent of new contracts for the players.

Sensible approach but surely we're making enough money now where it's not one or the other?
