Didn't Houlier end up buying Diouf than pay the money for Anelka in one of the post runners up summer window.

Transfer windows don't win football matches. Squads do.

I rate ours an 8 tbf.

Must admit one of my worries if we don't win something big again this season is that there will be murmurs regarding the front 3.

Frimino would have been here 5 years, Mane 4, Salah 3, and they'll all be entering their peak years with the desire to win the trophies their talent deserves.

If we finish with say 85+ points, but win no trophies how would that be considered as a season

Got no concerns about Bobby. Mane and Salah are the worries. The one thing that we have is that both are tied down long term and Salah would need a fee in excess of what we got for Coutinho, and not many teams are anywhere near in a position to do that.

Id they were South American then maybe but Salah and Mane are here for years to come. Both will be 28 next summer so that ship has sailed as we will want £150m plus.
