Gomez is a fantastic player when he's playing alongside a commanding aerial centre back.

It allows him to concentrate on the strengths of his game defensively which to be fair are exceptional, but he is always going to need that dominant aerial player alongside him I think otherwise that weakness in his game is likely to be exposed.

theres been games where hes dominated everything in the air too, hes capable just needs to change his mentality and add a bit of aggression to go win the headers. But come on hes still 22, CBs primes 28-32.

Fabinho and Hendo are good in the air too. I think last night we just missed Hendo physical strength in box because they did whip some testing corners at us which purposely avoided VVD.

Also there a pen shout in 2nd half when defender turned his back on ball and it hit his hand which was a replica to the pen City were given against Lester.

Old man Martin Tyler was quick to brush it under the carpet.

Biggest kant in the sport, absolutely hate him.

So blatantly hates Liverpool, always excited when we are losing but sounds utterly miserable if we are winning.

Doesn't even try to hide it.

He's also not that articulate, in a profession where articulation is the most important aspect!

I've never heard a commentator before when the clock just hits 43 mins be so quick to mention that there is just 1 min of injury time.

Yeah I noticed that as well, the board doesn't even go up until after 45 minutes...

Peter Drury loves us though.

I prefer Darren Fletcher (no ex ManU) from BT sports. Loved his commentary on our European nights like Barca and Dortmund classics.

Yeah, heard Peter Drury was on top form again last night, describing the dramatic ups and downs of the game.

People abroad get to listen to his excellent commentary while we are stuck with that facking miserable dinosaur Tyler.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Tyler doesn't hate liverpool. I remember in 2014 when everyone slated him for how excited he was during the title run in when we scored.

Yeah Fletcher is good, as is Ian Darke, Drury, Champion all excellent.

Even Tydlesley is decent ignoring the fact he loves United. It's just Tyler who is dull as fack and very bitter.

Hopefully we see the back of him soon.

Tyler was embarrassing when trying to talk up West Ham’s attacking prowess last night.

5 shots all game and about 25% possession.

It often sounds like he is watching a totally different game.

I have no idea what he's bitter about, why would I. Just detect clear dislike for us when he commentates on our games.

You just have to watch that video when Van Dijk scored on his debut against the bitters to see how bitter Tyler is about Liverpool.

The difference in his tone to our games and United games is blatantly obvious.
