Was listening to talksport they had Sam Allardyce on who was the opposing manager when we last lost at home v Palace.
He said that because we press so well they really only had one option, that was to hit Benteke and play off the knockdowns with a very mobile advanced midfielder playing around him.
This is because our fullbacks push up leaving space either side of the central midfield pairing and their first goal came from that.
Would prefer Ox and Milner today for this reason, that they can provide a bit of width on the opposing flank if the fullbacks don’t get high, but also provide cover when they do.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah I think we just play our normal game and put a few past them with no reply.
I'd go with Fabinho, Henderson/Wijnaldum and Keita in midfield. I'm guessing Ox will be injured or at least not 100%.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
If City maintained their ppg for the rest of the season they would finish on 80(.22) points. So one more win and the league is ours.

Mad to think that the record number of consecutive wins is 18 - yet had we beaten United at OT, we would’ve had 36 consecutive victories.
If only Ox’s shot had gone in eh.
Got away with one there. We weren’t at our best. Really think Ox has to start. He’s looked good when he’s played and popped up with a few goals.
Bad performance from us, particularly from the front 3.
First 20 minutes of that second half was shocking and the goal and a dreadful goal to concede.
Fortunately their goal and Ox coming on gave us a kick up the backside and we improved afterwards, should have started the game and was saying that before.
I'm Keita's biggest fan but he's running out of chances now. I'd like to hope he will get that third season to finally prove himself but not sure he will. Really dissapointing again from him.
Great result though obviously.
Keita will absolutely get one more season and rightly so. He's young and we waited over a year for him. Clearly had exceptional talent and it's worth sticking by him.
Werner will hopefully bring the best out of him

Got it right. Well apart from the not conceding. Wasn't expecting West Ham to go at us the way they did.
Anyone catch the end of MNF?
Carragher and Neville spent half an hour picking the greatest English club side ever.
A brilliant segment.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tIVHT4MMkiU carra thinks Salahs under appreciated by Liverpool fans, who'd consider selling for 130m but wouldnt for mane vvd alisson taa or bobby.
dont agree, but he made some interesting points though and shone light on some stats, 97 games hes played for us out of 102 hes reliably fit?
Salah can be frustrating lets be honest but i dont want him to change or change him, i like how he plays as a wide forward its different, he goes up against defenders as carra says so hes gna lose the ball etc. As long as he keeps being a pest making those runs over and over i can forgive the frustrating side, selfishness, being wasteful etc.

He is under appreciated by our fans and even LFC pundits. Keep hearing how we could sell so we can get Sancho (Mbappe is a fantasy). Why would you sell your top scorer? Never heard so much nonsense. Dont know the actual stats but he is probably only behind Fowler in terms of speed of goals in the PL for us. Yesterday he got a lucky goal but they all count.

I want to have babies with this Liverpool side.
Crazy how we have won 26 out of 27 games, particularly considering I don't feel we have played that well in many games this season. Imagine if we do start hitting top form
Going to have to perform a lot better than we did last night if we are going to progress against Atletico.
This side won't get out of 2nd/3rd gear if it doesn't need really to. It's just the way we manage games now.
People saying Ox changed the game for us yesterday...don't get me wrong, he played his part but that 2nd goal from West Ham was the wake up call...we were playing our usual patient stuff up until that point.
What I do like is that we can still switch it on whenever we need to, that's the greatest thing about this Klopp side...we'll be chilling and maybe even put the car in neutral and just be like 'feck it' for 90mins straight but as soon as someone tries to overtake us, we put in gear and just speed ahead.
This side is unreal.

Salah is one of the best players I've seen play for us but also one of the most infuriating. I think the reason he isn't as fully appreciated as the likes of Suarez, Coutinho etc is because he isn't the stand out in the side anymore.
So often we've had one or two excellent players (Torres, Gerrard, Suarez, Coutinho etc) surrounded by a sea of mediocrity, so naturally they were worshipped by the fan base.
Salah has Firmino, Mane etc etc around him and therefore isn't such a stand out.
That's how I see it anyway.

Yes but where Torres had Kuyt and Babel next to him, Salah has Firmino and Mane.
I loved Kuyt but Torres stood out in our squad far more than Salah does today. That's testament to how much we've improved?
Where would Salah rank amongst the best players in our squad, third, fourth or fifth I'd say.
Was there any doubt that Torres was comfortably top 2? Suarez was always the best player at Liverpool whilst he was here.
That's what I mean saying Salah doesn't stand out like those two did. Nothing to do with Salah but to do with the players around him.
