open letter my tranny mates.

Even though I may not see eye 2 eye with all my tranny posters I still love you because we support the same team and we are all really passionate about our team.

Personally I'm quite stressed out at the mo
I've just had an offer accepted on a house we want to buy, however the only the reason we're doing this is because my son is unhappy with the situation with the foster lad he is sharing a room with.

we love this kid but sometimes its hard to hear " I hate you" and " why am I here" when your trying your best to look after someone else's child.

We're doing the best we can and slowly making progress but it is emotionally draining.

Personally me I know I need to be better and mature person but I love being me .

I'm simplistic and try to be happy and kind-ish to others, It doesn't always translate that way to others though and for that I apologise

Sorry about the name change but I try to use this site a therapy thing type thing for me

Been similarly low since my wee guy was diagnosed as autistic. Seemingly all those plans we had for him are out the window and we start again.

Simple things like watching him try to play with the other kids in the neighborhood and seeing the looks on their faces as they just see him as the town weirdo. Crushes the soul.

Knowing that there’s no solutions at the bottom of the bottle but still looking. Man, $jit can be rough.

No words of wisdom for you though. Like you said, emotionally draining. Just remember that mrs joker is probably feeling the same. Family is a team game

Mate, that’s something you need to get used to if you’re going to stick at this fostering lark. These kids are more often from troubled backgrounds and have had to deal with all sorts of shiite. You just need to be thick skinned and accept it as just part of the job. If you can’t detach yourself then maybe you need to rethink, for your own sake 👍

I’m pretty resilient anyways and the skin is slowly growing thicker however I moisturise so at least I have a nice glow too

I had a good friend when i was 15 through the end of high school who’s family fostered a brother and sister. They were about 8 years younger than we were.

Didn’t matter what the family did the kids always wanted to go back to their Mum and Dad, despite them not being taken care of by them and the authorities having to step in and remove the kids from the situation.

The parents were still allowed to visit once every few months but it had to be pre arranged and at a neutral place. The amount of times the parents didn’t turn up was astounding, yet the kids still loved them and thought they were the best and how everything would be so much better once they got to go back.

They were simply too young to realise the situation they were in, who their parents were, and who their foster family was. It was always not as good as it would be once Mum and Dad came back.

My friends family had experience fostering before and knew the deal, their viewpoint was basically i don’t care if you don’t want to be here, i don’t care if you hate us, we’re here and we’re going to look after you and ensure you are safe and have the best chance to be a success as can be.

These kids are about to leave high school now and i know their viewpoint on the world has changed. But it honestly takes years and as you say, you have to be thick skinned. Quite often it’s despite what the kid thinks they want rather than what they’re saying.

The Friday before last our kid was meant to have contact but his mother cancelled at the last minute, that’s twice out of the last 3 times she has done that. It absolutely destroys him when this happens and leads to outbursts. Saying that though he’s actually now feeling comfortable enough to discuss this rather than hold it in and get angry so that’s a little progress

Anyways I was just letting off steam re my rant, let’s move on

Time to build another winning streak

I’m speaking from very personal experience. I was actually fostered myself, and had been thrown downstairs, burnt with a poker and generally battered. All by the age of two by my obviously very tough father. I was taken in by a foster family and they’re still my mum and dad to this day 👍

That was kind of my point mate, it’s a test match not a 20/20 game! This’ll be a massive adjustment and upheaval for this kid. As he gets older he should realise just how fortunate he is. If not, just take his phone off him, it’s about the only threat that works these days

Really don't see why we should be making 11 changes. Didn't see it before, as I don't place any importance on the unbeaten tag and I definitely don't see it now when the tag is gone. If anything we should be going full strength for the cup game and resting a few for the league game.
