the grate thing 4 u guys is that even with all injuries u r still joint top but just give other fans sum hope. so when u run away with it in new year there tears will b all the sweeter

A couple of bad games and you can be 7th. Look at Chelsea down to 5th after 1 defeat.

Yeah I know it's tight. We've smashed our big games so far this season so I'm not too stressed about Spurs.

It's just Jose is different to Lampard, Pep and the others. Just hope we're prepared mentally for it. They're not coming to play football on Wednesday.

If Jose comes to park bus then happy days. Its teams that have a go at us, in our face etc who are causing us problems.

That's only away from home where we think the higher line will help us squeeze the space.

Saying that teams have a decent tactic against us. When the fullbacks are up the pitch, they wait for the ball to be recycled through the centre, outnumber us and spring the counter attack into the acres of space behind us...it's simple yet very effective. Villa was clinical, Fulham wasn't but it was the same type of game.

Brighton also did it with Connolly.

Injuries have been bad this season but the performances in some guys have been worse than anything we saw in the past couple of seasons.

Can't really tell if they're just knackered or complacent but nobody has put in any sort of consistent performances at all this season. Salah has a lot of goals sure but 5 are penalties. Mane and Roberto Ketamino have been terrible, Jota was the only real bright spark in attack so of course he's now on the treatment table.

The injuries will continue all season, if we want any chance of winning the league we simply have to invest in January in reinforcements. We need one, possibly two centre backs, a midfielder and another forward. I'd loan out Shaq and Minamino and sell Origi as they just aren't good enough or remotely reliable.

Unbelievably frustrating season. So unenjoyable.

Last season we walked to the title, this year we are crawling along broken glass.

I've always said that expecting us to be at the level of the past 2 seasons was expecting too much...that was before the injuries.

But being complacent doesn't just happen on the pitch...it can happen off the pitch too. Something just isn't right and it's not the fixtures...although they are playing a huge role. You need 2 days to recover from the previous match. This is pretty much common knowledge in the professional game. Playing a game every 3 days is madness but it's like this for almost every team.

Yeah I agree with this, if we don't get back up in in January then the blame lays entirely on our shoulders

PLayig Jota in a nothing game just before we enter arguably the most busiest period we've ever witnessed was just poor planning no matter how much thinking and science you throw behind it.

You played Trent, Salah & Jota for 90mins. One didn't even make the next game. The other 2 you had to haul off while chasing a game when we had a chance to go 2 points clear. I would love for someone to explain that to me.

Realistically we've got 5 games before any Jan signing would be ready to play:

Spurs H
Palace A
West Brom H
Newcastle A
Southampton A

I just hope any CB signing is already all but done behind the scenes.

I have a horrible feeling we won't sign anybody, we will probably keep a couple of clean sheets and the club will think it's fine.

Thankfully we're not in the league cup.

The opponents play the ball long in the channels when our fullbacks are high up the pitch. This tactic drags the cb's out of position.

I thought Hendo was very good in the second half and the only negative was the chance he missed.

We need Thiago to be fit to control the game from the deep position which none of the current players can do.
