I thought we played really well against Newcastle, a notable improvement on WBA.

I'm not sure what people standards are now but I see us with one loss, top of the league and top of our CL group.

Form is important, obviously, but if these lads are complacent in nearly half our games and yet are still top of everything then wow, we really are good.

Weve been hammered by injuries, The seasons plans upset (Thiago changing our playstyle) our best players injured (Allison, VVD) and our most in form player also out (Jota)

We have had an injury crisis in the truest form of the word i have ever witnessed, and we are still top of the pile..

Lets hope there has been some work done on how to dive to win a penalty because some of our attempts have been woeful.

Salah does a silly dance while Mane does not dive cos Salah will get the pen.

It's a closer league this season, that's just the nature of it and with all the injuries, I was hardly expecting us to blow the league away.

Our away form has been mid table standard at best though, that has worried me.

No match thread and the wrist slitting has started.

As hoody said we are top , overall going well and only one league defeat

Draws against two absolutely awful sides is definitely something to raise an eyebrow at. Why can't people on this bloody forum just accept their opinion isn't the only opinion!

I'm not even going on the match thread tonight while the game is on

I did last time and got sucked in although we were pretty poor but like luckily Newcastle are Newcastle.

The thing about last game was that Newcastle actually had a go and left gaps for us but the passing/through balls/crossing/finishing was so bad we couldn't take advantage.

Anyways onwards and upwards

I don't think it's wrist slitting to be a bit concerned/annoyed that we've picked up just 7 points from 5 games against sides in the bottom 6.

I've said previously that I don't expect us to win every game and I think the last 2 seasons have warped people's expectations, but I'd be annoyed with those results if we were aiming for top 4 never mind the title.

West Brom for example have lost a combined 12-0 in the 3 games either side of our 1-1, so it's hard not to be frustrated at that.

Guess the player based off their transfer history:

1. Melbourne Knights, Dinamo Zagreb, Celtic, Leeds, Middlesbrough, Newcastle

2. Arsenal, Fulham (loan), Bristol City, Newcastle, Man Utd, Blackburn, Fulham, Manchester City, Portsmouth, Birmingham City (loan), Sunderland, Burnley (loan), Notts Forest

3. Vicenza, Fiorentina, Juventus, AC Milan, Bologna, Inter Milan, Brescia
