I reckon he might stick to Germany and end up at Bayern for the foreseeable. Imagine getting both Upamecano and Alaba through the door in the summer though, even though that seems unlikely.

I think there will be a lot more options in the summer which is why I can see us waiting.
We can get the one we want in the summer but in the meantime we need to improve on Phillips and Williams immediately and there is a small matter of a title and CL to win.
Yeah that's the difficult thing. Need a loan deal ala Caulker, but with somebody who can actually defend this time round.
Buying someone for the sake of it isn't how klopp has operated thus far. That's the Brendan route of squad building mediocrity ffs.
You get the right person, or you don't, it's that simple. Would signing a defensive "balotelli" really help us win the league this year? I don't think so tbh.
I'd rather wait till the summer, get the player we actually want with the funds we have available and have success for the next few years.

Its not buying for the sake of it, its buying because we have 3 main defenders out and are playing midfielders in defense because the younger guys are not ready or not good enough.
Klopp has said that any other year if we had our 3 main CB's out that he would expect us to buy another but he's been told he can't due to the current climate.
I'd rather we buy someone now and win the league and CL than surrender to the Manchester clubs.

At the same time there is no guarantee that he would win the league just through his signing when you consider other factors. What happens if the club simply cannot afford £60m (or even £40m) at the moment?
A loan signing would make sense, although what defenders of quality are likely to leave on loan in January? Sometimes you do get surprised, but it would be one hell of a find if you do.

I'm not demanding action. Do I think not signing a CB will cost us the title? Yep. Do I have any idea about the financial goings on of the club? None of us do.
It's disappointing but I trust they would do it if they could.
Of course we have some idea. They release the accounts yearly.

It's how you interpret the accounts, you don't know what money gets distributed there.
The lack of CB is only going to annoy Klopp. He's dropped plenty of hints but the accountants can't get the numbers to crunch.
