Henderson Fabinho Thiago will probably see the best out of Thiago but I still wouldn't be hugely surprised to see him sold in the summer if we need cash to improve the squad.
We need 3 or 4 players to really move on and compete again next year.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Again, there is no way on earth that Thiago will be sold after one season. He’s had a bad injury and half the team have been missing, yet you’re basically labelling him a flop and saying get rid. You’re saying the same about Mane, who’s had one bad season, likely caused by the small matter of him catching COVID.
We sold Coutinho for absolutely insane money and we were able to strengthen areas we were desperate to with world class players. That’s not going to happen this season. It’ll likely be a case of selling deadwood and upgrading on them. The only player we could lose is Salah, but that’ll be because he wants to move m, not us trying to sell him.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Putting words in my mouth there Term. He's been disappointing sure but I don't believe that's all down to him (aside of the jogging to get back on defence and fouls in dangerous positions). Calling him a flop after one year would be stupid.
But if we were offered 50m for him, I could see us taking it knowing we could sign the likes of Konate with the fee. We're getting nothing close to that for the deadwood.
Interesting that Klopp sees Taki as part of our long term plans, how's he been at Saints?

Thiago won’t be leaving. He’s a brilliant footballer but I do feel at times this league is too fast and physical for him. Whether we will see the best of him next season if we can get Hendo/Fab playing together regularly, honestly I don’t know.

Reading between the lines rather than putting words into your mouth. Anyone who thinks we should sell a world class player after one season in order to fund the buying of another player, must surely think he’s not good enough for us?
Players actually have to want to leave.
I really cant see Thiago moving his family to England after signing a five year contract to then just up and leave 12 months later.
I doubt the club would even entertain a bid anyway.

It’s literally been plucked out of thin air....
To be fair, I doubt this is what Thiago thought he had signed up for
He seems happy enough and looks to have settled in well at least which is all good.
I'm a huge fan.
Perfectly happy for him not to be anywhere near our own penalty area mind but still.
Yeah, for a player of his experience the silly fouls around the penalty area isn’t acceptable really.
At least he’s not getting booked every game which is an improvement I guess.

Indeed good result for us. United winning will mean they will try and beat Leicester to keep title hope. Looks like Maguire is out for the season too.
Good weekend for us. We need to match Leicester’s result at Old Toilet and then win the others. Reckon that will be enough. Can we do it.

I told you West Ham will drop points against the shte teams. Their attacking play is one dimensional which is easy to defend.

No it isn't. They have two games after that which could open the door.

No doubt Man United play their 2nd team for Leicester then 1st team for us!
Should have just taken the 3 points when we were offered it. It’s their problem anyway, why should we be punished.

That would actually be the sensible thing from Uniteds view, rest the key players in the middle game.

Not impossible they lose to Chelsea and draw with Spurs after that. We could get to 67 points and pip them on GD. But that would actually require us scoring a few goals.
