I blame John Achterberg for all this.

The reason some of them defend Utd fans is they want to act grown up to prove to other people they are not childish.
I know since a few days GT has a son supporting Chelsea and Kash has a son who is a Utd fan. I would have abandoned them straight away.

My little brother, 9 years my junior, tried to support Utd when he was about 8.
I punched him on the arm once a minute, every minute, until he sorted himself out. Took about half an hour though the little soldier.
Anyway, long story short, I saved Christmas.
My mum and dad have been anfield season ticket holders for a number of years, I didn't really get a choice to be fair. The idea of supporting anyone else does seem a bit strange though.
First years I remember as a kid with Souness and Evans as manager didn't exactly inspire an immediate love for football though I must confess

Won the FA cup with Souey.
And under Evans we had Macca in the free role with Jones and Bjornebye laying the pathways to Trent and Robbo!
Come on easily forgotten times but we played some great stuff..
Ffs Fowler came through under Evans.

Jnr has a match day match pinned to his scarf every time we go a game. That scarf was his first Jnr membership scarf, priceless now with the games etc we’ve been together.
I really cannot imagining him ever ever ever ever pulling for some other team. It would kill a small part of my soul.

When my little boy is old enough I plan to take him to the closest league club to us, which is Wycombe Wanderers.
He might support them, he might not, but I want him to know football isn't all £100m transfers and glamour games.
It'll he his choice who to support though, if it's Liverpool then amazing. If not then that's fine as well.

I live many tens of miles away from Anfield. So it’s an event each time really coordinating the logistics. But I can understand if you’re in London - zero chance for a midweek game etc.
Still would kill a small part of you though.
I live nearly 80 miles away and managed a season ticket in hospitality for 3 seasons, only missing a handful of games due to weather of other commitments.
Glad to watch the team at its peak though really.

Something very special going to a matchday with family members. I guess I was forced to support LFC when I was young but I'm glad I was. Has nothing to do with us being successful in recent years either.
I live in Kent, so travelling to Anfield is a facking nightmare. I'm sure there are easier way to get tickets but I've found it difficult so far (Europa League was brilliant as I got tickets to LFC v Augsburg but once United were pulled out of the hat for the next round I was facked
I was in Moose Coffee I think it was called when that was announced!
