I was just thinking if that doesn't fix it, it may be worth having your clubs resized. Most decent course club shops should be able to measure you and do this.

I have been tempted to do this, my irons were already custom fit for a guy that was similar to my size (yeah yeah ha ha) but not my wedges or woods.

Open your right shoulder up and push it back slightly so that if someone was stood behind you, they could see your left shoulder. Also drop your right hip slightly. On you down swing concentrate on hitting the "inside" of the ball and as unnatural as it may feel, almost think about hitting it to the right of the target as your strike the ball.
It sounds like your down swing is coming down from too steep and the angle you're striking the ball is an outside to in position.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Ooooo buuuuuuuuut isn't that creating a problem to solve a problem? Not saying you're wrong by any means but that's just what I was taught.
I reckon you'll get more power that way though right?

It sounds more off balance and striking the ball at that way to cancel a fade/slice seems a bit the wrong waay around, rather than tweaking the grip and stance at the beginning.
Again this is just what I was taught quite early days and yours is more technical but I think for someone not as experienced, as Fred sounds, it'll lead to other parts of the swing then having it's own problems.
I'd make those kind of alterations to my swing to create a fade/slice rather than cancel it.
But yes would need to see it. I'm no expert either.

I don't play golf nearly as much as I should but I've always enjoyed the couple of hours or so going around a course for the very amateur skillset I've got, aesthetically pleasing.
I find that about a lot of sports though, I used to play table tennis a lot a few years back and ended up getting pretty good alongside a couple of people I knew, but it's a sport that I'd never really think to watch on TV.

I get people not enjoying the watching of golf, I struggle with anything outside of the Ryder Cup and majors but in terms of playing, it is a fantastic sport. Takes you to some amazing outside spaces, gets you away for half a day at a time and that's without trips away to play. The handicap system opens it up to everyone of all ages to play against each other. It's definitely my number 1 sport these days.

Can't watch golf on TV myself but Golf highlights are absolutely great to watch. All the best bits put together. Spectacular things happen in golf tourneys but they are far in between.

I'd watch it day and night mamba but can understand how many wouldn't.
Good point in the highlights as I would use the same analogy for cricket
My wife told me she’d instantly divorce me if I ever took up golf!
I have no interest in it tbh. Perhaps I would if I lived somewhere with more than 8 days of sunshine per year but the idea of walking around on a miserable day does nothing for me.
Plus I find the whole golf narrative of getting away from the family for a day really 1950’s. I don’t want to escape my wife and kids at the weekend.
I think my biggest issue with it is that a fairly high proportion of golfing enthusiasts I’ve met have been total w@nkers. Present company excepted obviously…
