Love Dirk. The best example of getting the most out of limited ability. Over 100 caps for Holland, a massive chunk of time at a top club, CL final goal and massive goals in massive games. Very underrated as a penalty taker too.

Didn't notice at the time but Paul Glatzel got his first league goal and an assist for Tranmere Rovers at the weekend. Scruffy header from a corner and the assist was a bit generous tbh as the guy who scored did well to work an opening and get a shot off. Glatzel notched midweek in the cup too so hopefully he'll start showing his talent a bit after a tough start to the loan. He was electric for the u18s a few years ago, just hope his knee injury hasn't wrecked his career.

Klopp spoke a bit about taki after the game on Saturday, I'd be surprised if he doesn't start on wed.

He seemed to be suggesting he could play in midfield if we wanted him to, seems like he's going to be a utility player long term.

I wonder if he is part of the reason why Zidane isn't interested in taking the job yet.

I feel like if United appoint another interim manager that isn't already involved in the club, they'll end up in a similar situation to that of Ole. Blanc is the name I keep seeing and whilst his pedigree is better than Ole's, he hasn't been involved at the very top of football for a number of years now. I actually quite like him as a manager and I think he'd do well for United, but I think they'd be better off just sticking with Carrick until the end of the season and attempting to retain a top 4 spot.

I'm not sure Zidane was ever close to the Utd job regardless. He speaks no English and is in his 50's.

Blanc is a demonstrable racist, that'll be his agent putting his hat in the ring I'd have thought.
