Was nothing more than a stat padding game so didn't bother watching it. Trent got 3 assists but he is still Southgate's 4th choice right back.
I didn't bother myself and the score line represents what it was and is... a farce.

I dont know why anyone wouldn't enjoy watching a game of football.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I hear ya but when it is that uncompetitive I do not enjoy it. We all love end to end footy I suspect.
I don't see the point in San Marino in qualifying and tbf, neither so UEFA and co because they take the results against the bottom team away when there is a group consisting of only 5 teams where the rest have 6, even they brand them as useless!

Yeah, the San Marino game I get, but Albania are not the minnows they once were. They beat Hungary home and away, have got results against Wales, Romania, North Macedonia and only lost by one goal against Norway, Italy and Portugal in recent times too. The first half against them was genuinely very, very good attacking football from England.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Actually I agree with this. I only ever watch Liverpool games these days, but that result did raise an eyebrow. Albania are a better side than the likes of San Marino / Andorra etc.
Having both Andorra and San Marino in a group is ridiculous
Was just googling the other results we've had in the group and noticed a slight typo
https://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/england-world-cup-2022-qualifying-group-fixtures-results/vw0hws2e90ea1tyy8nnumios8
For sure keep Albania in the qualifying campaign as they are usually a competitive side against most teams. There was a time during the qualifying phase where, if they were to beat Poland, they would have likely finished 2nd in the group as their last game was against Andorra, I think, at the bottom. Every reason to have them in the campaign.
However, I do think teams like San Marino and Andorra should be evicted, but fairly. It should be treat like Africa where certain nations have to qualify preliminarily to get through to the qualifying "proper" group stage which would inevitably see the likes of San Marino and Andorra not participate in the group stage. The up side of this now is they can still compete in competitive (and to the more traditional term as well) fixtures as they can participate in the Nations League which would be much more suitable.
I just want the part time semi pro teams out so
Gibraltar, Andorra and San Marino would be a good start.
If you're having to deliver the post to make ends meet I am not sure you're up to facing Harry Kane in qualifying during a pro footy match.

Yeah same, I enjoy watching Liverpool more than England and just find I don't pay attention to the international games as much anymore, outside of tournaments
Also, nothing enjoyable for me in a 10-0, it's unsportsmanlike. Even at something casual like Powerleague, I hate when we're thrashing a team and just end up feeling guilty over it lol

You obviously forgot the Hodgson days pretty quickly then.
Makes him look daft but he has held his hands up which is better than half that Yorkshire side did. I'd also argue is isn't institutional and indeed enabled by those higher in power.
No-one has come out of this looking good though.
Ooops, wrong thread. Not even sure how that's happened.
Just reading the BBC article about Gio Van Bronckhorst and saw a quote by Brad Jones.
I never knew that Brad Jones went on to win the title with Feyenoord after leaving us!
If someone had asked me whether Jones would be the keeper of a title winning side in a major league after leaving Liverpool I think I would have laughed at them!
Yeah it's a great story and seems a nice bloke.
Gulacsi too is a decent story.
Mendy is the one though. Guy was on the dole not so long ago.
Looks like Hendo might not be ready for Saturday with him still not training with the squad.
Pity Firmino is out, always plays well against Arsenal
So the rumours according to some journalists is that we will not be doing any business in January.
Those Elliott training videos are starting to make sense now

Looks about right. Not a good feeling about today though, hopefully it's Dr Arsenal performance and we get back on track.
Arsenal will get spanked tonight. 4-1.

Truth is you never know which Arsenal is going to turn up. We’ve been here before in the past where they’ve won every game at the start of the season, people label them a new changed side and then they roll up at Anfield and get spanked similarly like teams before.
Obviously irrelevant unless we turn up ourselves but I think we respond well today.
Thiago back in the side today and time for him to step up and start delivering regularly now as let’s be honest, his impact in a reds shirt so far has been limited at best.
