I'm not sure. I reckon he may look for someone more defensively adept as we have Elliot and Jones on the books plus Gordon coming through (who I suspect will end up central ) where as we only have Fab and Henderson,Thiago at a push, who can play six.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Fabian Ruiz enters the rumour mill today. With Milner very much nearing the end I reckon the likes of him or Zakaria are more likely.

Milner probably has another season playing league cups and coming on as a late insurance policy when we have a slender lead. Hopefully then he will move into coaching. We just can't leave him to mark Foden again.

Probably fair Kash.

He's on good money though, with Morton on the books as well I'm not sure he'll be offered an extension.

We can't afford Bellingham, Tielemans is more likely.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I doubt Tielemans will be too much less than Bellingham. Leicester won't let him go for much south of 70 odd million.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Bellingham would be £100m with english tax and a long contract at Dortmund.

Tielemans only has one year left on his contract in the summer, very different situations.

Swapping Milner and Keita for Ruiz and Tielmans would be quite an upgrade imo (all things being equal, settling in, getting on with the rest of the squad, etc).

I'm not entirely convinced by Ruiz when I've seen him, although he did play well for Napoli against us a couple of times.

Seems to have a good record in terms of appearances and that's critical from anyone we sign in that department for obvious reasons so I could warm to the idea.

I've not watched him loads by any means but he's a versatile international coming into his prime and I do like the sound of that.

I would take Tielemans with the quickness. Almost everything about him is on point and if he's one year left he would be affordable and a good chance to add quality to the squad at a relatively low cost.. Leicester wouldn't turn down 20 to 30m, would they?

Lmao of course they would, try 50-60m

For a guy with one year left on his contract?

Get outta town.

There’s no way Leicester let Tielemans leave for 20-30mil even with a year left, theyd just let him run down his contract like we did with Gini. They’re not short of cash.

It wouldn’t surprise me to see Klopp return for Neuhaus, he was keen on him over the summer.

Hmmm, somewhere in the middle I reckon. Leicester tend to like to get fees for their players, I can't see them chucking what they paid for him in the bin for the sake if a year myself.

Yeah they sold Chilwell for £45m in identical contract situation, so maybe £55m-60m for Tielemans when factor in his additional quality plus midfielders going for more than full backs.

Is there really a need for Tielemans as long as Thiago is here?

To replace Keita so yes. Plus Thiago gets the odd injury which takes ages to recover from.
