City are going to want to be the first to win 4 on the bounce. Don't expect any relaxation.
Refreshing 2 midfielders is a good start tbh

It'll be interesting to see how city perform next season given the world cup and that they've played nearly every game this season (early league cup exit aside). Guess we'll see if the mileage excuses for this season make sense or if our players just collectively shat the bed.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Difference though will be they won the Prem and likely the CL so they'll be on a high, whereas we were the opposite.
We looked mentally fatigued just as much as we did physically.
city will be absolutely fine

But I also have my own theory that the caffeine intake can only work for about 2/3 seasons max and then you need a break from it.
City should be on their break next season
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Lol, but that could also have been the beginning of this season, they started quite slowly (for them at least).
Feels like our team always needed to play out of our skin to match City while they just canter to a win thanks to control they - more often than not - have over the game. It allows them to manage their players and exhaustion so much better than we ever could so I doubt they do drop-off.
That said, was surprised how knackered Rodri looked in the FA Cup Final, about 60 mins in. Maybe just the heat

Yeah Mourinho highlighted back in like 2011 how Pep uses possession for the players to rest. Still requires an incredible amount of concentration though. Also brilliant for tiring out the opposition while they chase shadows for 60%of the game
Pep throughout a season is very clever. He won't start season with Gundo and in the middle KDB will be on bench as would Silva. The defence is tinkered every game and even Haaland has been given a rest or taken off after he scores a 10 minute hatrick.
He has the squad quality to do this. We have to play VVD, Trent, Fab, Salah practically every minute.
city just get what they need, they wont hold off. simple really
I'm still kinda in disbelief that we were practically neck-n-neck with them for 4 years straight...without the financial doping.
Monstrous effort from everyone at the club. Almost impossible really
103 points from 105 will never be bettered I think, absolutely insane run.
I remember how disappointing that draw at Old Trafford felt at the time
