Lavia and Caicedo gone then, who’s next? Or do we wait it out now?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We can’t wait it out, this would be ridiculous
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It honestly wouldn’t surprise me massively if we go into the new season as we are now and pick up Andre in January. I hope the deal is done though prior to the January window, I’d wrap it up now.
Are Chelsea are actually both Caicedo and Lavia?

I think they're keeping the Lavia deal in case the Caicedo deal goes wrong and then will pull the plug when it goes through, like they did with Adams.
Ben Jacobs has just confirmed we're still the only team to actually agree a fee for Caicedo.
I'm sure Chelsea will do it any minute now...

Player doesn’t want to join, Brighton aren’t playing ball so pull our bid and let Chelsea pay £20/30m less. Money means nothing to them anyway.

It’s mad isn’t it, Chelsea have shown for years that they couldn’t care less about anyone, players or managers, and yet he only wants to go there. I’m positive this is all about his agent and not the player. It’ll be something ridiculous like the agent wants to stay in London, or more likely he’s had a massive bung from Boehly.

It doesn’t matter to them. The player probably isn’t coming to us either way. Brighton know that if we pull the bid, Chelsea will pay significantly less so it could be worth threatening to pull the bid so they can block the Chelsea deal. Might actually be the only way we sign him

Depends how long this runs, a little bit of pressure on Brighton might be a good thing. If Caicedo does join Chelsea then we need to move to another option and we’ll be running short on time to identify the proper player.
Plus clubs will not want to sell so close to the window closing.

Depends how long this runs, a little bit of pressure on Brighton might be a good thing. If Caicedo does join Chelsea then we need to move to another option and we’ll be running short on time to identify the proper player.
Plus clubs will not want to sell so close to the window closing.

It doesn't put pressure on them from us, it puts pressure on them to accept Chelsea's lower bid.
