United taking one of there CEOs is very suspicious. First of all he is corrupt. Then he is jumping ship cos P45s will be coming at City after they are relegated.

Must admit I thought this too.

Yep same. Doesn’t really make sense he would jump ship to United over money to me as you’d imagine City would match anything they offered given the success they’ve had under him.

Not expecting a performance today, just need a result.

Incredibly tough period to have so many players unavailable. 10 players again ffs.

Head-to-head

Bournemouth have lost eight of the past nine league meetings, with the exception being a 1-0 win in last season's corresponding fixture.
That is one of only two victories by the Cherries in their 21 matches against Liverpool, with the other coming at home in December 2016.
Liverpool won a League Cup fourth-round tie 2-1 at the Vitality Stadium in November. The last team to beat the Cherries twice away from home in the same season was Bristol City in 1999-2000.
Bournemouth

Bournemouth have won seven of their 10 most recent league games, having failed to win any of their first nine under Andoni Iraola.
Their tally of 19 points from the past eight matches is more than any other top-flight side over the same period.
However, the Cherries have lost all nine top-flight fixtures against teams starting the day on top of the table, conceding 30 goals.
Iraola's side have won three of their last four league games at home, as many victories as in their previous 16 attempts at the Vitality Stadium.
They have won their opening league fixture in only one of the past 11 years, beating Stoke City 1-0 in the Championship in 2021.
Dominic Solanke could become the first Bournemouth player to score in four consecutive home appearances in the Premier League. He managed only one goal in 21 top-flight appearances for Liverpool.
Liverpool

Liverpool's solitary defeat in 20 league matches this season came against Tottenham on 30 September when they were reduced to nine men.
They have trailed in 10 Premier League games this campaign but have won an unrivalled 19 points from losing positions.
A sixth away league win of the season on Sunday would match their tally for the whole of 2022-23.
The Reds have dropped points in their opening away league fixture in each of the last three years (D1, L2).
The absent Mohamed Salah was the only player to start all of their league matches this season. Liverpool are unbeaten in their 10 Premier League games without him since he joined the club (W7, D3), winning the last four in a row.

I have no idea!

So I’m going to go for a Liverpool win.

It all depends who the ref is

Its madley isnt it with tierney on var so expect nothing there. I think we are unbeaten under madley but so ar bournemouth lol.

Make no mistake this is a huge test, bournemouth are a gd side under Iraola they were good vs us at Anfield and are in even. Better form now. Todays game is the first if a tough little fixture and will will show a lot in regards to being up for the title imo.

Hoping we will put on a performance as a statement we mean business but id take a win scraping over the line anyway possible. But im expecting us to be flat/disjointed as we often are esp after breaks and so many missing and to drop points.

Any win will do but gonna be very tough. Bournemouth in great form too. One loss to spurs recently they should have never lost.

I stand to be corrected, but don’t you predict us to lose most games?

Bournemouth are a good team, we can’t afford to be anything other than sharp in our play. But if we do perform then our quality should shine through, we’re better all over the pitch. 0-2 win.

posted on 21/1/24

Poor first half from us but again come strong in the 2nd half, total domination aftter ht. Bournemouth wore out a bit after working hard first half.

Darwin Nunez with 10 goals and 10 assists is the first player to reach double figures for both goals and assists in all competitions for Premier League clubs this season.
