Brilliant result and second half performance.
Hopefully we can start seeing some players come back, although knowing our luck we now lose Jones for a few weeks who has been superb the last couple of months.
Jurgen Klopp says the plan for Mo Salah is for him to do his rehab with Liverpool. "If he is fit before the final then probably yes" he will go back to AFCON.
----
Today is potentially getting even better
Jurgen Klopp on Curtis Jones:
"He felt a little bit, he had last week already a little bit but then nothing was there, Curtis thought why should I risk it."
Hopefully just precautionary- fingers crossed. Gravenberch to start on wednesday surely but who next to him is the question.
Better cameo from Grav today I should mention, need more of that from him.
La AXA will provide for us
Still can’t believe the Jota penalty wasn’t given. That was absolutely stonewall. In real time I can see why the official misses it but how the fvck do VAR?!
Don’t get me started on the red card.
I'm quietly starting to believe
Excellent result that, what a second half. Especially considering we could have had two penalties not given, just carried on. Solanke barely had a sniff

It’ll be Elliot again I reckon. Hooked on the hour so should be a bit fresher and it’s his former club.

It's blatant corruption with Tierney. The club has to do something at some point as this absolute cuuntt gets given our games either as referee or VAR referee every second weekend.

Yeah, I don’t get how someone higher up hasn’t picked up on it yet. Surely someone looks at all the incidents and ask serious questions? Just today, both were stonewall penalties. I can take the ref ‘missing’ it, but surely VAR has to alert him, as it was so clear.

We’ve got a great balance atm, which we were struggling with a bit at the start of the season. AMA has had two very good games at 6 on the bounce too.
I’ve just watched brief highlights and Gakpo was influential. His form has been steadily improving. Same can be said for Gomez, who I was beginning to think was done tbh but he’s been great. I don’t think Robbo and Tsimikas should think they will just walk back in. Same could be said of Szob too.
How good are these kids doing too though?
Athletically Bradley looks to have it, his decisions were good and he seemingly reads the game well but I found it really pleasing that we had five academy players on the pitch at some point today. They all look to have a great temperament. Inglethorpe has done a fantastic job.
When/if we get most of the squad back the competition for places will be crazy.
Hopefully get to see Beck start in the fa cup next weekend as he's another one I rate highly. Haven't seen much of Clark to be honest.
Fulham is going to really tough you know. Massive game for their club and fans. Had 10 days off so a good break and Silva seems to know how to play against us. Missing Iwobi’s energy in midfield is a big miss though.
Bit like today before the game, would just take any result tbh, and keep rolling off these games we’ve got coming up.
Egypt FA just released the statement- saying they want Salah back for the semi final if they get there.

TomkinsTimes did a big article on him reffing us over a year ago in comparison to the other top 6 and, surprise, we were the only team who was the outlier in every stat.
Consciously or subconsciously, it's obvious he refs us differently.

Just skimmed through that, the numbers don’t shock me but they make for some poor reading. He needs to be taken off Liverpool games.
Disappointed that MotD chose not to highlight the non-pen and the tackle on Diaz. I know there was a lot of positive play to cover but even so.
I’m actually not as convinced on the pen as some are, but as a minimum it was a really strong claim. The tackle on Diaz is a red for me. Out of control and dangerous.
There is no way that’s a penalty for Shef Utd imo.

Agreed. The standard of refereeing is just horrible atm. I know we (naturally) focus on our team but it’s a league wide problem.
mac10 bit on motd, by far his best game for us imo.
Was a stonewall red based one what we've been ont he end of this season. And the pen was a solid shout too more of a pen than 2 or 3 we've had this season infact.
But i said numerous time before the game was even played, expect nothing from VAR Tierneys on it, and he gave us fack all. Fortunately he couldnt find any excuse to rule our goals out or no real claims for Bournemouth cause then he'd have stepped in 1000% convinced of that.
Guys a cheat end of and he will have a few more says in the title race before the seasons over yet just like he has in the past.

Yep incredibly soft. Whereas Onana in Man Utd’s first game of the season comes in and punches the defender square in the face but no penalty is given.
It’s the lack of any kind of consistency whatsoever which is a complete joke.
Also in the same game today moments after Sheffield score their dodgy pen, Bowen is rugby tackled by one of their defenders who’s not even facing the direction of play and a free kick to Sheffield is given. It just gets more farcical every week with these braindead cretins.
Gomez has really settled, what an assist today Trent who?
Another good game from Bradley too, unlucky not to score, really good save. Header was a mess though
Konate best CB in the league when hes fit and on it. Keeping him fit is vital. Can he and Gomez complete a season?
