A league title with fans in the stands would be what I wanted as a Liverpool fan playing in the team. But I could absolutely see him at Madrid tbh.

I’d want £100m for him, minimum.

Trent, Bellingham, Mbappe, Vinicius in the same team shouldn’t be allowed.

Selling Arbeloa for £5 million in exchange for Glen Johnson for £18 million was the start of our downfall under Benitez tbh.

Along with losing Alonso in exchange for Aquilani didn’t help either.

I’d like £100m for him too, but in the last year of his contract I feel that’s a bit fanciful.

Soooooo glad we’ve let yet another quality player run down their contract. It’s so fvcking amateur.

Maybe they want him in midfield, I’d consider taking Tchouameni and some cash in return were it to happen I guess but I’m getting well ahead of myself.

Carvajal is going this summer isn't he. They will need a right back.

Wonder if Gomez will go. I'd take him for his versatility and he's had a good season overall. But I think I'd start Stones and Branthwaite at CB. Can see why Southgate would stick with Maguire over anyone else though. Branthwaite is pretty much untested at this level.

He's been the most improved player on our squad

Bascombe saying contracts for VVD, Salah and Trent are a priority

Reckon Trent will stay for now but don't think he'll stay his whole career here.

Another 2-4 years then he'll join Madrid towards the end of his next contract.

There's also that option that we might do a Suarez or Coutinho with him....extend so we can get maximum value from the transfer.

Both of them were sold within 6 months of their extension....or I think Suarez might have been a season after his contract extension...can't really remember too well.

So long as he doesn't catch Coutinho's great sadness and back pain, or Suarez's desire to bite people.

His role with the national team goes beyond football tbf

I can see him accepting it.

Trent is a good player going forward but dont think he offers enough defensively. I have my doubts whether he can survive at Real who like their fullbacks to be good defenders.

Pep got rid of Cancelo who was a liability off the ball and replaced him with a CB.

Pep is much more risk adverse though.

Trent is not a bad defender.

He’s perfect Madrid. Do their fullbacks need to be good defensively? Because they never really have been.

Marcelo had a real engine on him tbh...he got better with age too.

Marcelo was mustard, but also very attacking.

On defensive type full back I can think of is Arbeloa, but I’ve probably missed someone

Jack Grealish in the facking England squad. Southgate was doing so well. He’s hopeless.

Jack is a quality player with experience who can play multiple positions, it would have been a huge surprise to see him left out.
