Summerville watch again and not impressed at all. Hopefully that is a BS rumour.

cant see ive seen anything of him really other than when they were in the prem, didnt he score the winner vs us at anfield?

Gray looked bang average in that game. Too much hype.

i imagine theyll be on the move in the summer if theyre good clubs will be in for them and itll be hard for leeds to keep them now? Probably see them in the prem. Our own Morton had another good loan in the champs and Carvalho was doing well with him at Hull too?

The kid is only 18 years old! Maybe worth giving him a bit of time before suggesting there’s too much hype?!

I love the game but football fans are fecking ridiculous at times.

One good game = best player to ever lace up a pair of boots.
One bad game = worst player that needs to be sold immediately

I'm all for experiencing and feeling the highs and lows of the sport but sometimes the takes are just overkill

A signing I guess

Be a shame but he needs to be playing.

Too good not to be a no1 at the highest level.

Linked to Trafford who did not have a good season but is still young.

Odd rumour given he left City 12 months ago to play football, it would be a strange decision to swap that for a place on our bench. As a 21 year old with potential surely he'd want games.

For some reason I can't see us spending decent money on a reserve keeper, not if we're going out for a DM and CB. I suspect it'll be a cheap, experienced player from Europe that I've never heard of.

21 for a keeper is so young, and the chance to learn from and deputise for Ali who has a pretty terrible injury record (for a keeper) is a pretty good opportunity. I’m quite keen on that move tbh.

Trafford cost 20m and City have a sell on clause too so will probably look upto 30m for him which is pointless cos that's how much we could be selling Kelleher for.

Jaros had a good loan in Austria where he kept his team to a double. He is in the Czech Euro squad and is homegrown. Should we be looking at him instead? Not seen him play.

Upgrade on Onana to be fair.

Sounds like silly season stuff. We're not spending 30m on a back up keeper.

Remember people wanting Mount last summer @Mamba
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Hands-up I wanted him tbh, I think he would have been great under Klopp. He was fairly robust before his move so this level of injuries is unusual for him

Lavia and him having injury hit seasons after missing out on working with Klopp is a manifestation of their psyches rejecting moves they pretended they were happy with, imo

I wouldn't have minded Mount at all, at the right price. My issue wasn't him as a player but the costs involved. He was the same price as Szobo and on double his wages. In fact at Utd he's earning more than everyone in our squad bar Salah.

Despite Szobo's tired end to the season, I still think he has a significantly higher ceiling than Mount.

For £30m and normal squad wages, I'd have taken Mount. For £60m and superstar wages? Nah.

posted on 28/5/24

Yep that's right, fairly reasonable position and that was the thinking at the time in here I think, though there definitely were a few who didn't want him at all

posted on 28/5/24

Yeah as i said Mount was in his last year of contract at the age of 24? With his injury record and the amount of games he played at that age and being English 30m is what most expected him to go for and felt it would be a decent signing.

The fact Utd paid 60m and he then became a sick note all season randomly doesn't really change that.

posted on 28/5/24

The wage is a valid point, no way can you justify his wage or price on a year left either. But i guess Utd were desperate. 250-300k with bonuses apparently is mental. He was on 80k a week at Chelsea and for what he'd done for them already and players like cho on 100k you'd say he was worth more. But not 250-300k. 30m and 150k tops imo. Doms on 120k?
