Honestly I'd love Salah to extend and stay, this isn't the same as Hendo extending and Salah has shown he can adapt to being a creator even if he loses a little pace

Fully agree. His right foot is now dangerous too.

Salah has been hit and miss for the past 2 seasons, but has always known how to be in the right place.

This season he has looked a lot better and isn't being as greedy and playing himself into cul de sacs.

However its still very early doors and many players always play well in the last year of their contract.

agree on this, I think Trent is the worry.

The way I see it, Bradley getting minutes each game is part of the ongoing wrangling. Letting Trent know he isn't our only impressive option at RB, it gives the club leverage in the negotiation if he wants a big wage bump. Conversely, it probably also influences Trent's decision, the club would be covered in defence if he left.

Simultaneously, Carvajal had comment the other day about extending his stay at RB. But who knows what Madrid will decide there.

Agree with this. He looks great at the moment.

So Salah has started his 7th/8th season just like previous seasons but he might be playing well because he wants a new contract

Kind of depends what you mean by better at football. A more rounded player perhaps but 5 years ago there was a case to be stated that Salah was playing as well, if not better, than anyone in the world.

The sheer quality of his goals circa 2018-2020 were just ridiculous. Most players score a couple of outstanding goals in their career, he was knocking out 2 or 3 a season.

Salah has been so hit and miss the last two years that he won our player of the season award and has been our top scorer and assister in both seasons.
