Ref was awful watch his arms n slump when mo scores too btw ref sulks when we made it 3

It’s a fairly obvious offside to me, a close one but still offside. And it was given as offside immediately by the linesman so VAR actually spent ages trying to give the goal when you think about it.

Both the offside decisions were right in the end but it’s totally ridiculous how long it’s taking them. I just cannot believe why the premier league teams voted against the technology which is fast, definitive and working well in practice. Don’t give these utter morons of officials the capacity to screw something up when you don’t need to.

cos in the prem the small teams think they can get advantages, same with the 5 sub rule after covid. Only league in europe that refused to introduce it against all common sense. Cause clubs like sheffield utd claimed its an advantage to bigger teams when in reality they know playing the bigger teams sometimes 2 and a half days after theyve had to play a big game midweek and they havent is a massive advantage to them keeping 3 subs.

On the game itself, just one of those games I’m glad to have out the way. We were crap for 40 minutes, despite what Slot says. Couldn’t even just enjoy a game of football on Boxing Day properly because of the awful visibility.

A bit of individual brilliance from Gakpo flipped the momentum in the game. It’s becoming a habit for him and his growing significance in this squad and I’m pleased because I’ve always held lot of faith in him. Nobody performs at the Euros like that without being a damn good footballer.

Onwards and upwards, West Ham away next which looks tough. No Szobo is really annoying too.

We should not need Dom's running power up against Soucek, Alvarez and Paqa. That is the slowest midfield in record.

Blaming everything other than Amorim who for me has had a complete shocker. He played the blame Rushford card early and it backfired. Tactically he has been exposed and yesterday we saw Wolves get a new manager bounce and a way of playing instantly while Ruben gets a load of excuses.

I’ve not watched their games since he arrived, but they’ve convinced themselves that he’s building a style of play and that it’s all about next season, hence why they’re ’not concerned’ about writing this season off.

All looks a bit head in the sand stuff to me. Has he actually implemented a style? Even if he has, you can’t just say it doesn’t matter if you win or not.

To be fair, I have seen United trying to press a lot higher up the pitch. Their results are going to get worse before they get better if that’s how they are trying to play though as they simply don’t have the players to do it.

Unless you do it effectively as a unit then it leaves gaping holes and is easy to pass through. There will always be a lazy fecker in that United front 6 that won’t do their job, usually Rashford, Garnacho, Bruno.
Zirkzee is a an absolute carthorse of a footballer who isn’t mobile enough to press either. They also don’t have the legs or pace behind them with Casemiro, Ugarte, Maguire playing in slow motion.

They genuinely do need to clear out about 10 players and replace them with players than can play Amorims system and until then they are utterly screwed. He will probably be sacked before that happens. Rinse and repeat, it’s fantastic really.
