I can’t imagine Pep would have agreed to stay without City agreeing to bankroll a big refresh of the team. Think they’ll go big this summer - likes of Kimmich, Wirtz, Kvaratskhelia, Frimpong etc. I don’t see anything but a massive influx tbh.

Could depend how they do for the rest of the season though. They're in a fight for a CL place and don't look like getting back on track anytime soon.

City will finish 3rd I think. I think Chelsea 2nd, Arsenal 4th. Arsenal have a good side but with Saka out they will struggle for a while.

It was getting too painful having a 14m(?) player getting 2 points every game!

Useless fecker couldn’t even score a penalty and then stood offside for his header. That was the final straw.

Colman shouting stay humble before the penalty was quality.

In fact Everton taking points off Arsenal, City and Chelsea whilst also not actually winning themselves… what a Christmas.

Anyone think that the PL teams have worked Haaland out, or is he just a victim of City’s downturn?

Thing with Haaland is that he’s so reliant on the service he gets, he can’t just make things happen himself like players such as Salah, and to a lesser degree even someone like Nunez.

You’re probably right, though it’s suddenly become much harder for Arsenal now they’ve lost Saka for at least two months. You’re right to stay grounded, but if we were being totally honest it really is ours to lose at this stage.

Watching them struggle and play so cautiously at home to Ipswich was encouraging.

Saka out for 2-3 months is a massive loss for them.

I think they may struggle a little now and start dropping more points more regularly.

Yeah losing Saka potentially for 3 months is a massive blow. Never know with Artetas dumb media mind games though and Saka tends to recover from injuries quickly, so let’s just assume it’s 2 months for now. I think they have the players to cover but it will still affect them at least a bit as he’s a world class player.

Ipswich was always going to be a doddle but they only scraped it 1-0 in the end. Two tough away games to Brentford and Brighton now though so let’s see how they get on there. Their whole January fixture list looks tough too.
