Shoddy job (Eriksen aside) agreed but thats not Sherwoods fault.
Next season any Spurs fan who starts getting irate and calling for the managers head because we are 6th needs to see a doctor. After selling Gareth we have no chance of finishing in the top 4 which is why the Europa Cup way in should be taken very seriously.
It is both Sherwood's and AVB's fault from a managerial point of view, but we weren't talking about managers more how rubbish the season's been.
"After selling Gareth we have no chance of finishing in the top 4 which is why the Europa Cup way in should be taken very seriously."
This is just silly to say. Just because we've sold Bale doesn't mean top 4 is unachievable. There is always a chance. We have a decent squad and if we add in the right places and are managed correctly who knows where we could finish.
I'm pleased its been done sooner rather than later but i think we might just look back at this decision with regret.
I don't think Sherwood did too badly. At least the Tottenham board have ambition and high expectations, in contrast to the rubbish who own West Ham.

Big time.
Love him or loathe him (as a person / manager), his win rate will take some beating.
I appreciate i'm in the minority (again ) but all things considered, I thought he did a pretty good job. And I’d personally like to have seen what he could have achieved with a few additions of his own and with this experience behind him. But hey ho...onwards and upwards as they say....
Doubt the next manager will have us playing as scintillating football as under Tim.

No I meant actually boots.... Tims a size 13
Chatting to supporters of other clubs they generally feel that Sherwoods straight talking is a breath of fresh air. Shame so many of our own fans (on here) didn't see it that way.
Myhammers, not like you to be so downbeat. At least you've got your new stadium and have trebled us this season!!

I found his straight talking extremely refreshing. In saying that, because of this view i just got referred to as a UKIP member on another article - so we're not even allowed to want an English / British coach anymore.
I rate the win % argument.
The one specific to only a handful of games
That doesnt take into account cup competitions
Or the proportion of draws/losses
Or the results

I've not commented much on here lately as the absurd anti-Sherwood hatred made me think our board had been taken over by Chelsea supporting primary kids.

Its easier to compare league win % because you are more-or-less comparing like-for-like teams. Whereas in the cups (particularly the EL) you get a load of dross in the first stages who we should thump and CL quality towards the end.
Say what you want about Sherwood, but he never got humiliated by West Ham, Liverpool and Man City like AVB
Cup competitions you get dross like Dnipro and WHU.

Wish I was as mature as you and loved Tim now
Points totals/ win percentages dont matter to me.
Last season we were 5th, now we are 6th. We have gone backwards.
Sherwood out!

Sherwood got the best out of Danny Rose.
Under Sherwood he scores a goal. Under AVB nothing.
out of all this i really hope that Levy has this time got a experienced manager waiting to come in, this has to be the case surely, we are becoming a joke no more experimenting with my club
seriously though...did Sherwood really think he'd secured that gig...?
$puds have surely lined up a bigger name to try to win the mickey Mouse Eurocup
