He's a much bigger name across the world than Lallana, especially after playing for Barca.

I'm not saying he deserves to be, he just is.

No he didn't you reetard.

He said that the TEAM i.e. the PLAYERS THEMSELVES were no better man for man but that the manager made them better...

"hasn't ever been much better than ours but they had the best manager of all time making them greater than the sum of their parts."

Sorry I just don't have time to argue with someone who's exposed themselves as such a fool.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Scouse Logic

Claim there players are as good man for man but ours are made better by a great manager yet they win nothing and finish 6-7th, while United win title's.

Claim there players are Better when they have one decent season and finish above us.

Surely by your own logic you were helped last season by having a quality Manager and finished ahead of us because of a better manager, no? Or does it only work like that when you want it to

Bigger name around the world doesn't necessarily translate to shirt sales.

He's not Beckham or Ronaldo.

Nobody said we weren't, but that's nothing to do with the argument fred was making is it.....

To be honest I think you'll find it does.

No he's not as famous as beckham or ronaldo but he isn't a virtual unknown abroad like Lallana either.

Well he wasn't in the top 10 last year, while playing for Barca.

I am sure he would sell more than Lallana, but only to a negligible degree in terms of the wage difference.

I thought companies bought the shirt deals and then they make the money. I'm pretty sure we don't get cash for every shirt sold around the world anyway. That's why we have kit deals.

Cesc looks nailed on for City in my opinion. There is not a single reason for him to go to Utd to the point that I reckon LFC would have a better chance of signing him.

He was the 4th highest in the prem while with arsenal so no the difference certainly wouldn't be negligible.

I'm guessing BR is still looking for one and there's none who are available better than Fabregas. He also fits into our style.

? What? Hit and hope either of the 3 S' latch on? You play direct football don't confuse that with fluid possession based style. Both can be highly entertaining, mind

Regardless, Cesc doesn't fit our style of play.

We go forward at pace, getting into the opposition half as quickly as possible without risking losing possession cheaply, with high press expected from everyone.

Fabregas is far more suited to Man city's more languid style of slow, slow, quick possession football.

Rodgers won't buy Fabregas even if he could.

You obviously don't know your ass from your elbow. Yes we are more direct now but we also incorporate a fluid possession based style, which if you'd bothered your ass to watch us you'd know.

We aren't the finished article, as Rodgers has stated. Our style changed to be a bit more direct close to half way through the season, as it wasn't working as well. However Rodgers clearly wants to get to that point.

Regardless Fabregas would suit our current possession based system, which breaks at pace. He's not the one breaking, he's the creator, the kep pass maker. Exactly the type of player we need and would fit in perfectly. I think it's an unlikely one but one we should be pulling out the stops for.

we change styles multiple times a match

Quality players will always improve a team regardless of style and no disrespect I'd rather see Cesc Fabregas in the side against, say, a Bayern than Allen.

Fabregas would suit us perfectly in my opinion and is well worth building a midfield around.

Would love him at Liverpool.
