If Moreno is over-hyped then what the hell is Shaw?

Let's not start getting into comparisons, it always looks like people are trying to deflect opinions.

Comes across as "Look! A distraction!".

In fairness though Shaw is a very rare breed. To be that age and play the way he does is always going to cost a premium as well as your usual English tax.

I like Flanno a lot and think given the right chance he could become more than just a squad player.

He has improved so much under Rodgers I don't see why he cant keep this up. In fact when you look at the improvement in all the young players good to see.

Moreno does seem a lot of money but for a young lad with bags of potential I don't see it as a problem.

Look at Hendo. I always rated him..(unlike some on here Kash) and has gronw into a first choice player at both club and country...

the 16mil for Hendo could be a bargain in years to come IMO

If Henderson kept his knee over the ball when he shot he'd be worth loads,

I can see him improving this side of his game this year... not by loads but I think if he plays in the same team as Can (either side of SG) he will be tasked with weighing in with more goals...

Hendo tries to place the ball more than put his laces through it.

Sometimes it works out (was it Sunderland last season? Where it sailed into the top corner from outside the box) and most of time he narrowly misses out. I prefer technique shooting style though and i believe with time he'll get it right.

I've been more impressed with his progressive passing this season.

2012/2013 season actually.

You can use your laces or strike it of the in step you still need to keep your knee over the ball and not lean back. Your taught that when your about 8.

What he needs is composure and his shot selection is rammal.

scouse-heart thanks for the reminder

I don't think Henderson shoots enough when presented with opportunity. He clearly has striking ability but he prefers to offload and that's the difference between someone who scores 4 goals a season and someone who scores 15.

Yeah he does seem like a rabbit in the headlights when he's through on goal

His running style with the ball is weird though.

Leiva.

Reminds me of Fergie's controversial comments about Hendo's running style. Or Hendogaitgate as I call it.

Sterling also looks weird when he's running with the ball....but that acceleration though

Yeah, Sterling's 'arris sticks out.

The next natural progression for Hendo is to develop into a 10-15 goal a season player.

Whether he manages it will determine whether he is a key first team player for club and country, or just a good squad player.

think shaws attacking game is overrated atm

Kash wasn't he going to be at Fulham or somewhere by now...?

like everything else he has I think this will improve. For me it is confidence in his ability.

Using his passing as an example, when he was low on confidence it was very short tidy passing, now his range of passing has improved massively and is a massive plus to his game. I think his shooting will also improve...as if it does not it will limit his progression.

Depends how vitriolic the comments are.

...and depends whether you have given them a chance in the first place...

See above... naming no names... MFB

He wasn't that poor, and he was a kid.

Before this season he had only played 12 games. He was good in half of them and not so good in the other half, and had suffered injuries too after his breakthrough.

People weren't taking any of this into account and were calling him all the names under the sun.

No one seems willing to give players a decent opportunity anymore...instant success or complete gash seem to be the only two options!
