ddfp, would you be interested in being involved in 2 leagues?

you set up the one standard one like last season, and ill set up a dynasty/keeper league. anyone wanting to just try out fantasy or newcomers or unsure about the future ones can join the standard one and have fun in that one like we did last season (although ill still be in it to win it) and the keepr/dynasty one will be for us more 'fanatic' fantasy individuals.

just a thought. i really want to do a keeper league with people id have some sort of contact with rather than random americans, and i cant find enough friends of mine interested in nfl, or interested in nfl enough to have a fantasy league longer than 1 season.

My league will be invite only so specifically for members of this site, I can adjust the size depending on interest.

This year I am aiming for only keen people who will be actively playing as it makes for much fun waiver wires and draft. Last year there wasn't much participation after the first few weeks.

I see no issue with you setting up a league for casual users.

i meant the keeper league as a league whereby we do one draft and you nominate 2/3/4/5 players that you keep the following season... all players not recommended go back into a draft.
with this, you can also trade draft picks.

and im in on yours btw... and im aiming to go a step further than i did last season

I've activated my League from last season.
Even though it's still early doors. There's nothing like getting into practice with the Draft.
The Mock Drafts are up and Running.....

ive already done 4 drafts... 1 auction and 3 standard.

ive started a lot more, but i leave if theres less than half the teams humanly controlled.

Yeah, me too, been practising at 10 a few times.
Think I've already got my team sussed out.
No ones feeling Arian Foster at the moment, and forgetting about Crabtree and Harvin!
Hopefully that doesn't change..... Is this one gonna be a new league then?

Hello Mick.

I found managing just one league in NFL fantasy was too simple... NBA with games every day was probably not the right call to have 4 teams. spent more time looking through free agency on each one than actually working at the start of the season... then i lost rose in the one so i lost interest, and i gave up on the other one when i fell to the bottom of the league... finished 2nd in both again.

so close yet so far.

We could have 2 JA leagues me thinks... 1 for us regulars who plan on being around for 2/3/4 seasons and like planning long term, trading draft picks as well, and another one off league for complete re drafts to mix our teams up a bit as well...

Im currently penciled in for 2 leagues, plus the generic NFL managed one=3 plus however many we have through JA.
NFL Fantasy is easier to manage than other fantasies, plus is very simple statistically and yet complete at the same time. I dont like football fantasy (soccer) and after january, i got a little bored in my Euroleague and NBA basketball.

edit, i finished 2nd in both remaining nba leagues, and 3rd in euroleague.

Well I had a blast last year, it was my first experience playing it so lessons to be learnt (didnt get involved at all with the draft process....silly me!)

It got to the point where i was totally involved, checking out highlight tapes, waiver reports etc, obviously didnt help me that much, but would absolutely love to be involved next season too!

Good Lad, Let's do it!.

Yo Stringer, was it your league last season or Dalglish's? If you're short a guy, let me know, been in 2 leagues might give me a better chance!!

Also, I've never gone through online drafts etc so a bit of practice would be awesome.

I am happy for a Keeper league if we have regulars committing longer - no problems.

I did one last year out without knowing how much of this board would be up for it, it was purely a testing of the JA waters.

If some of you vets want to run an official one I am happy to join rather than run all the same.

What is the general consensus?

Sorry, I might've started early on the Juice today...
We had a league last term right?
But that leagues been deleted, I take it?
So we have to set another one up, right?
We did do a Draft last year didn't we?
I have no Problem setting one up, if you like....

I have zero idea what a 'keeper' league is!

I feel so stupid when it comes to the ins and outs, but I'd like it to be known that I tried to be mega active last season to counter balance my lack of experience!!!

I can read up on whatever, like i said, never been part of a draft before, but might need some advice from some of you guys with certain stuff (basics, it's not like I'm going to ask you WHO to draft!!!)

But definitely count me in, whatever the league format is!

I can set up the keeper league and run that and ddfp, you can run the one off?

Rage of Reaper, a 'keeper' league is same as a normal league like we had last season, however, at the end of the season you nominate x number of your players from your team to keep the following season, and all the players that were not nominated, were on waivers, free agents and rookies are the only ones available in the draft.

Using my team that started last season off the back of the draft as an example, if the "nominations" were set at 4, i would have nominated Jamaal Charles and Demarco Murray as 2 for sure, and if i had picked up rodgers who someone dropped, i would have made him my 3rd, and maybe i would not have dropped julio jones when he was placed on IR in october.
This makes you think twice about dropping a 'stud' if they pick up a season ending injury, or picking one up that someone waived (Aaron Rodgers and Julio Jones as examples).
In addition to this, when it comes to trades, you can trade draft picks for the following season.

I dont mind... thats up to everyone else...

my thoughts were that the keeper league would be good for the regular followers (you, ddfp, myself and whoever else im forgetting) while the regular one-off can be more of a less serious one?

But, like i said, thats just my opinion.
I wont be taking part in 'soccer' fantasy next season so, i have opened up a slot in my "fantasy agenda".

Mick Dee, how do you think is appropriate as keepers?
