are you saying the if the ref hadn't blown up, he would have come clean? if not, then he cheated. He got caught, that is the only difference.

Cantona's Kung Fu kick was not cheating. It was a Kung Fu kick. And a really good one. And that f%^&er deserved it.

Four years ago Manuel Neuer said after the England game that he deliberately ACTED as if Lampard's goal had not crossed the line in order to convince the ref.

THAT IS SIMULATION (pretending that something has happened when it hasn't or vice-versa)

I think in those instances, the ref should just send the player off and give the goal.

yea, but it was Suarez, i'd have put him on a plane to Ghana too, triple punishment

I'm not sure the rules about double punishment... If that had happened after goal line tech, and the ref saw Suarez try it... I would imagine he would get at least a yellow card for trying it?

* what I mean is... If suarez was stood behind the line and handballed it out....

The goal would be given because of goal line tech... but I think he would get the red card too for the foul.

So, in the rules of football are outfield players allowed to handle the ball in any circumstance except a throw in?
The answer is NO
So any handball, by definition is cheating ins't it.

Deception also plays a part, like (for example) felling the ball hit your thigh on the way out of play but still claiming the throw in anyway, that is cheating!

As per the above definition, footballers cheat all the time. It's only when the advantage gained is very large and goes again that we see these shows of false outrage. Bit hypocritical imo.

Suarez was about as honest as it gets, he played volleyball in front of a billion people when he was supposed to be playing football. No hiding it.
