And BusbyBabes wins the reward for funniest overreaction so far, by comparing Suarez biting people to a terrorist.

I find it hard to believe you think people are overreacting to a footballer biting another footballer during a game at the World Cup

Particularly a player who has been banned for it, twice, before for a total of I think 17 games?

When Zidane headbutted an opponent in his last game, there was uproar

Imagine if that had been the third time he had done it?

Now imagine if Zidane had bitten someone instead, and it had been the third time he had done it?

This sinking in yet?

The Kaiser's Trainers (U5676) "Luis is insane and his actions need to be punished really severely. we're just having a different debate now about the actual risk of injury."
---------------
Okay, if we go with the "he's a nutter" line (which I agree with btw), then no matter of punishment would change him. After all, he can hardly say to himself "I must stop being insane otherwise they will punish me more" can he? Mental illness doesn't work that way unfortunately.

Then he shouldn't be playing football, unfortunately.

Not as quickly as Suarez's teeth in the heat of the moment apparently.

It seems the only was to reason with you is to use these outlandish examples though Grizzley.

The fact you make excuses for somebody biting another, makes me question just how far your loyalties go...

I said it yesterday and will say it again. Suarez could write for the sun and some will defend him

The reaction is global.... So Liverpool fans should know that it is not rivalry that is adding any fuel to the fire.

I have chatted to both Portuguese and Spanish friends of mine today and they are as equally gobsmacked as the rest of us and think a very long ban is the only answer.

It is not an over reaction, it is just logic.

Until he moves to Madrid or Barca that is....if they still want him. He has probably thrown that dream in the bin alongside his chances of playing for his country anytime soon.

Ji, some Liverpool fans will never get out of their victim complex. They live in a bubble where everyone is out to get them.
