It wasn't all that long ago we were calling for Cook's head!

So how are England travelling then?

Cook still hasn't really played himself back into form
Robson still has a bit of work to do although he will not be dropped for the final test
Ballance is settling nicely into the team
Bell is chiming in now and then
Root looks like a fixture now
Moeen can do no wrong at present
Buttler - early signs are good
Broad/Ando getting better

So a couple of bowling positions open for debate? Things gelling nicely at present. India look dispirited so England need to put them to the sword in the final test.

Unfortunately this is test cricket. Impossible for india to make a comeback after that thrashing.

Dhoni in PC: whether you lose in 3 days or 5 days, losing is losing. We will get an extra 2 days of rest.

That is what makes it all that remarkable. They lost a test match in three days with 2/3 of a day being washed out. Essentially they have been bowled out twice in the space of one day. That is a disgrace and something that is simply not lack of skill but lack of balls and guts to fight and grind it through.

I don't know what the mindset was yesterday but I cannot believe that they would not have discussed today and tomorrows weather prospects. Useless from the top down starting with Fletcher.

There was a genuine chance of two washed out days with that bit of the outfield struggling. That's what I couldn't understand about India's mentality yesterday.

Its raining and looks like its going to rain all day here in the north west. Having heard a bit of the commentary and seen the highlights I cannot see why India just did not hang in there yesterday and bat till the close of play. Even if it did not rain on Monday there was always the chance of the outfield being unplayable. Strangely very poor by India.

India have been a disgrace

No fight, no backbone, no resilience.

Im sure many Indian fans can accept defeat but never will anyone accept Not trying.

India didn't even try.

No disrespect to Moeen Ali but India's batsmen have made him look world class with their soft dismissals.

Moeen will be found out by better bowlers. Good job his bowling is ok for now, although the appalling indians play him like Shane Warne... I predict he won't play the ashes next year.

wetherbyterrier you're talking rubbish. He has taken 19 wickets in this series against a strong Indian side. Yes they have played very poorly in the last few tests but nonetheless considering it's his first series and he is supposed to be a part time bowler taking that ammount of wickets in a series is sensational. He can only get better. I expect Moeen to still be playing for England this time next year. He does need to improve his batting no question about that but his bowling currently is incredible. Give him some credit for goodness sake!

Stick to the snooker.... or the community shield Arsenal! The aussies ended Swanns career, they will end ali's as a bowler, as for his batting, Mitchell Johnson will be queuing up to bowl at him.

Swann took the Aussies apart last summer

It was only when his elbow had gone last winter when they got the better of him.

Arsenal, if you ever want a sport knowledge quiz with me on either football, cricket, darts or snooker... I will blow you away. Mark my words on Moeen.

You lot have no right celebrating England victories then when Moeen takes wickets.

England won due to brilliant performances by our mainstream men - Anderson, Broad, Bell, Root, and Buttler.

I think he will personally but we'll see on that one. I do think the Aussies would look to bully him but I think he'll earn the right to a shot at them tbh

I follow Cricket as well you know and probably know more then you. I don't know why you seem to bum the Aussies so much for? I bet the reason why you don't rate Moeen is because he's Asian and you don't want Asians playing for England so whenever they play well you refuse to give them credit and spoute rubbish such as "oh a better team such as Australia will rip him appart" which is something you shouldn't even be saying.

He probably will start against the aussies, simply because we have another test against the Indians, 3 against the West Indians, 2 against New Zealand, will probably get 2-3 tests before he shuffles off to join Uan Salisbury....
