"You lot have no right celebrating England victories then when Moeen takes wickets."

"You lot" is a racist statement. This stays, but an innocuous mention of beard gets deleted?!!

What's with this Bradford-based site?

He probably will start against the aussies, simply because we have another test against the Indians, 3 against the West Indians, 2 against New Zealand, will probably get 2-3 tests before he shuffles off to join Uan Salisbury....

Bl00dy heck you don't hold back do you? , Moeen has rightly earned his place in the England side for the next 12-15 months at the very least... Aussies aren't the best against spin, and Clarke aside they will struggle against him. He's getting better and better..... Currently, I can only see the South Africans successfully taking him on. ...... Don't forget Ali has reached 20 test wickets in the shortest period of time for any England spinner. It has taken him just 58 days.... That against a team known for playing spin well.....

Aside from that wetherby, I see robins has called it a day, spun out by Eddie Howe & co... Was it a doosra?

Arsenal, I have nothing against any player of any race or creed, my cricketing hero is Brian Lara, just not jumoing on the Moeen is the next murali nonesense. My Boycott has seen the boys technical floors too. Afridi, Robins has been terrible for at least 9 months, the sacking yesterday was the cherry on top.

Come on lads, just because he doesn't rate Moeen doesn't make him a 'racist' ffs..... Very surprised he's gone after first game though.. At least that should keep the udders fans quiet for a week or two at work, esp with mighty whites looking dodgy with the worst manager in the football league

Moeen has obviously done very well, but we shall see if he can continue his bowling form. Got to say that the Indians have played him very poorly. His batting doesn't look up to much, looks uncomfortable against short bowling, which I am sure isn't unnoticed by Lehmann et al. Don't think we'll see too many changes for England in the next few series, everything seems settled except for the 3rd seamer and a partner for Cook.

Afridi, Duncan, thank you, I have never been racist on here and never would be! Duncan, spot on anout the watching Lehman, Arsenal, you have to admit the Indians have played him poorly... Afridi as for dirty L**ds

I can agree with this to a certain extent, I don't think that Watson or Smith are bad players of spin either.

I was only on here yesterday praising Kumar Sangakarra on how brilliant he is, at the last check he was Asian too! Check your facts pal.

Fascinating will be one word for it...

Can't see it being a high scoring series, may be down to who is in better form, Clarke or Younis, reckon the others will struggle against the respective bowling line ups.

Depends on pitches as well... Can easily see bore draws

You don't think they will serve up some nice turners than?

Been away all weekend, just watching the highlights on tivo now. Looks like India lost this in the first hour, how demoralised did the batsmen look up in the dressing room?

Its how teams deals with pressure the best. once the home team get ontop its very difficult for the opposition to pull back.
England were destroyed in Australia..England wont preform that badly at home next summer against the Aussies. and the pressure will be reversed..

I hope England give Lyth a chance to open.. and not go back to Carberry.. He will always look good but always get 40s and 50s..
Robson looks ok but never an opener.. Maybe he can eventually become a middle order player.

Id like to see this 11 for the first ashes test next summer
Cook
Lyth
Balance
Bell
Root
Meen ali
Buttler
Plunkett
Broad
Finn
Anderson

I know Moeen Ali aint been great at 6. But I still think he can get you the odd 50 and that maybe enough to get to 350's scores
Plunkett aint no mug with the bat at 8 and think hes really improved with the ball.

Looks like Botham was right, after the win the at the rose bowl he predicted us to go and win the series 3-1. I agree.

Indian fans who would you pick for this test. Im as clueless as to which combination will be best for the team. The batting is a real concern and looks really difficult to see the likes of pujara, ganbhir/dhawan, and kohli to come back in form in such a pressure game. And thtoughout this series our bowling combination has been poor. But this one isnt a big concern, we should pick ashwin, ishant, bhuvi, varun and shami.

The seamers are useless whoever we pick although Aaron showed slight promise in the last test: Bhuvi looks absolutely shot for. It doesn't help that he has one of the skinniest frames I have ever seen from a fast bowler and Dhoni uses in the most ridiculous ways possible.

The batting is a massive concern. There were great signs after the first two matches but none of them have kicked on and Kohli has been the biggest disappointment. It's amazing how in the space of two tests from going to potential overseas test series winners these batsmen look clueless now.
