All over, the Aussies have won the world cup
World Champions for the 5th time. First at home
Great to see sachin there
Mitchell Starc wouldn't have been my man of the tournament. But his numbers made him hard to ignore.
Congratulations to Australia. Best side in tournament.
That ends what has been a pretty uncompetitive world cup. Too many one sided games with probably a couple of close games involving test playing nations.
Yeah, was just thinking the SA v NZ game was genuinely the only close game btw the big sides. Rather uninspiring.

Congratulations to D'Jeezus. Best manager in thw FC tournament.

Cheers mate.
Eventhough mighty Saffers didn't performed well at the beginning of the tournament, they would've given a better performance than Kiwis.

You read the rules better than most.
When and where is next T20 World Cup?
Well played Australia. Deserving champions. Don't think there is any team in world cricket that can beat aus in these conditions. A very well balanced team.
Next wt20 is in India next year. When is the next competitive cricket now? Apart eng vs wi
Aussies played well, but winning a tournament with no spinner suggests a pretty poor standard.
Well spinners in these conditions ain't that effective anyway. If anything teams like india would have had a breathing space if aus were bowling spinners at them in that semifinal considering how well pacers bowled throughout to keep the pressure on.
And in recent time spinners have pretty much become ineffective with the new rules. They are no longer wicket taking options as they used to be before.

But you got to give credit to both tahir and vettori who picked up wickets in the competition
So many World Cup Finals always seem to be so one sided. I think 2011 was the only one which wasn't but India did win it comfortably.
After 1992, most finals have been one sided, but yes the 2011 was a little closer
Viru, I agtee that spinners weren't that effective. Hope they can step up in the coming months.
87 England had it won until they collapsed after Gattings famous reverse sweep.
Many people talk about the kohlis, amlas and AB deviliers, but IMO steve smith has been one hell of a player this year. 3 consecutive 50s in the knockout matches and has scored consistently throughout the WC and the test format. He has got a very unorthodox technique but he is one for the future. I think I can see him becoming one of the australian greats already.
yh same. TBH there arent many quality spinners left around in the test format. Lets see what pitches Eng prepare for Aus considering they struggle against spin in general.
