I seriously think all our team needs is good coaching. AVB didn't play to our strengths and Sherwood was clueless.
The talent is there. This squad could surprise us all if coached and drilled properly to be compact in defence but break with speed and skill. Front line of (Eriksen, Ade, Lennon, Townsend, Lamela, Chadli) should be using their pace to destroy teams with quick transitions, Not long ball's and crab passes.

This is a really poor article. Just taking Poch formation he used then throwing ropey comparisons to current Spurs players. The way he played at Saints was different to how he played at Espanyol, he adapted due to the qualities of players etc. What he did do at both was play a high energy pressing game. This is what will be interesting for me. Can the Spurs players, who you have at the moment adapt to that. The likes of Lallana, Rodriguez, Cork, Schneiderlin all played with great energy and closed players down high up the pitch. It's what Ramirez couldn't get a look in, despite being the type of player that Poch used a lot in Espanyol (ability wise).
I don't know if Lamela, Paulinho and Eriksen can play that way. All good players in their own right, but high energy closing down, working hard without the ball?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So if you don't know how can you say it'a poor article. you are speculating just like the author?
Be good to get your insight into how Poch played at Espanyol. or are you saying Poch doesn't have a preferred style of play, he just works with what he is given?

The author is just picking Spurs players and talking about them playing in the exact same positions as Saints players. That isn't how it'll work is it. I'm speculating about things we know, like the strengths of the Saints players without the ball, something that Poch builds his sides around.
And I am saying that although Poch has a preferred style in the sense of he wants his team to play a high energy game, I would suggest he has shown, whilst here, that his teams play a number of different formations with players doing different jobs on the pitch. I have always said that if BR left, for whatever reason, he would be my instant first choice to replace him. I think Spurs could do very well next season, if the players can adapt to his style.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He may shock us all and play a 5-3-2, who knows? I don't mind what we play as long as our transitions are fast. Loved watching Dortmund in 2012/13. Best football in Europe for me. If we could model our play on that with the players we have we could be devastating on the break.

Only In Thudds world finishing 8th is better than 6th
I hated supporting us last season
It was painful, from pitch to fans to manager, to boardroom

Agree with this completely
Other than the first couple of weeks of tim's stint (where we had a bit of humour) there wasn't any fun in the whole season.

I'm still not sure how you managed to finish sixth.

Because despite what people think we actually have a decent team!
Just the top 4 teams are much better than us currently
