Wilshere smoking again

It proves he is not serious with his career. If you also watch the celebrations of the cup in the changing room he is drinking a whole bottle of champagne without giving it to any body else. He can't celebrate without alcohol. This boy will waste his career.

This

He'll never be a top player, he'll always be living off those 20 mins vs Barca

Without going into the obvious problems of a professional athlete smoking, it was generally accepted (until recently) throughout Italy.

Most of the Juve teams of the late 90’s 00’s (Vialli, Ravenelli, Conte, Baggio (Dino) Pannuci, all smoked. Vialli still continued to smoke during his time at Chelsea.

That said it will not sit well with AW who expects all of his players to remain professional – even privately, and JW will undoubtedly face some kind of censure from the club – unlikely this will be made public however.

Yes it matters that he smokes. It affects the health of his lungs

I used to run half marathons when I used to smoke. The average premier league football has to run less than half of that with a 15 minute rest half way through. If he can still perform to the required level of fitness then why does it matter? They're also digging him for drinking beer in these pics... FFS... You can run off the effects of a beer in 15 minutes of HIIT

You can joke about it but you can see he has a problem, he treated the champagne bottle as if its his baby. He could be alcoholic.

The good thing is Arsenal have dismissed it as a non-issue despite the media doing their utmost to provoke an uproar.

I'm a fan of Wilshere, he's just not got the mentality to be a great player

Ozil was amazing at Real, but it's easy to get assists galore for passing to Ronaldo who bangs them in for fun

He's been very disappointing

I'm an ex smoker so can't really comment , but IMO his a grown man he can do what he wants. Only reason his getting grief for it is because his famous . If he was selling big issue magazine having a smoke and a can of white lightning at 9.30 in the morning no one would care.

tbh, its his choice, he is hardly ever fit anyway so I would have thought he would try and keep himself as healthy as possible in order to stay fit and do what I assume he loves (playing football)

but on the flipside, he isn't a very good player anyway, so it doesn't really matter to arsenal or anyone else.

I'm annoyed as an England fan. We wonder why our players don't give 100% on the pitch and you see Wilshere here smoking. How can players be the best they can be when they're smoking in their spare time.

I don't know why Arsenal fans aren't more annoyed to be honest.

In all fairness I used to work in a nightclub in Portsmouth , Alan Knight was in most nights supporting the bar whilst having a few hundred smokes. He may just be a social smoker.
